Agreed. The dog seems to be generally inaccurate.

Which only makes the bold, italics and underline all the more irritating.

I am probably close to being banned from here too I think.
Ahh... never mind, I might as well take myself off and read only.

I didn't know you'd been banned elsewhere, Pooch?

You could try the following:

1. Restraint: only post facts and experiences (boring, so instead)

2. Differentiate fact from opinion

3. Keep on topic (yes we have discussed that one before!)

Personally, I'm entertained by some of your meanderings - as long as you're prepared to be ribbed about them if you stray too far - but you do seem to exasperate others.

Regards,

BD

Just to update on my previous post - ended up just using the public shower. There was only one and it definitely resembled what I expected from a public shower. Nonetheless, it did the job and I was able to clean up before my meeting. Side note: I read on the Melbourne Airport website that towels were available for purchase. As I am packed with only a carry on I went with this route. The towel was $20 AUD and about the size of a typical hand towel. It did the job but for those wanting a full sized towel be sure to bring your own.

Can I ask why you went down this path and didn't just head in to the lounge for a shower (with free towel!)?

There are no arrival lounges in Australian airports. OP has no access
So the public area is all that was available

Wiscaz is *O Emerald and appears to have an onward from MEL on Qantas that day.

If so, they could have used the business lounge at T1 for a shower.
Arriving in Melbourne on international business And then leaving 6 hours later (meeting with a customer quick) on domestic coach

That's what this whole thread was about! They were flying same day on Qantas as OWE so easily had access. Much nicer showers in there and a bit of breakfast available as well.

Just an aside as it's slightly related to this thread (and since the pooch is here it's all good) in relation to the QF Plat post-flight access rule I used this feature in BNE just a couple of days ago.

I hardly ever do because I usually want to get out to wherever I'm going, but this time MEL-BNE flight was ~30min early (fastest ever flight up I've had!) and I wanted a pit stop and a drink (of water/juice-just for the record). Anyway I remembered the rule and headed to the lounge and showed my QF P1 card and confirmed it was OK for entry. Both the staff at the entry smiled and welcomed me "Of course you can!" then one of them pointed to the card and said "That card's the MAGIC CARD!" which I found somehow hilarious

lovely 5min pit stop and had a few waters and grabbed some fruit and 10min later was on the train into town. nice little benefit.
