Wow, that's pretty bad. When VS pulled NRT recently, even people with reward booking were rebooked into revenue fares on BA or ANA

I think the route cancellation has come out before any commercial policies with regards to passengers on the route - try again tomorrow

I'm not surprised, BA must be taking a kicking from EK in particular on the MLE run from LGW and lots of other carriers from LHR.

Wow this really didnt last long. I travel to CMB a few times a year and looked at prices (Ex-GLA) and prices were always must more than my usual carrier, EK. (Business and Economy)

CMB Cancellation / MLE made winter only

B**ger, had a 241 in club to MLE for 24/6/15. Hotel booked seperately. Mrs E2S will not be a happy bunny

That surprises me. Just been to MLE this summer and flight full - maybe one seat free in CW. The crew say these flights always fill up from the front, so I had assumed they were profitable. CMB was always a dodgy add-on though.

The food was dire up front - and to be fair I wrote on my comment card that I'd use QR for that route in future, so it seems I will indeed be true to my word!

BA must be getting a kicking on just about any route where the competition is not a US carrier. Simply do not know why people pay to use them on long haul. Food is lousy and crew variable. Club world is simply awful when compared to AA 777-300, CX and most Mid East and Asian carriers.

What are the odds KL won't last 18 months?

Another example of BA not liking these shuttles/onward sectors. I'm sceptical that we will see the KUL-CGK that some are talking about as an obvious move.

Just got the email that our 241 next July to MLE cancelled, and guessed there'd be a thread on it.

Didn't think EU261 allowed BA to deny re-routing on reward tickets?

This is very disappointing. The alternatives don't look very good, or "comparable" to use the EU261 vernacular. They all involve taking extra days off work, or shortening the holiday, or having a night's sleep interrupted with a transfer in the middle of the night.

That could depend on whether Malaysian Airlines will last 18 months, or at least their A380s into London.

well that's going to be interesting. I now live in NY. Bought 6 non refundable (sales tickets) from NYC to London and then reward tickets (5 from a joker) LGW to MLE 2 days later. I also have bought a non refundable holidays (for 6 people and it aint cheap)..Really curious as to how BA will deal with this....
