I wouldn't say it was any of them. It seemed a very nice business hotel, though cheaper because of the location. I was not aware that Dubai had a prostitution problem, nor did I know every hotel was ranked like that.

Next time, I might stay at Madinat Jumierah.

Prostitution is rampant in DXB but I suppose that whether or not it should be considered a problem would depend on your point of view.

Around the York International Hotel (mentioned by the OP) area there are huge numbers of prostitutes walking the streets and inside the hotel bars. Even if you walk down Sheikh Zayed Road you will find it. Between every tower there is a lady offering 'company'.

Following my reading and responding to this thread, and a subsequent read of York Intl reviews on Trip Advisor I am now getting adverts here on FT suggesting that I book a trip to DXB and stay at the York!

Wait -- so I was free to have prostitutes in my room at the Address? Now you tell me!

I am sure that many people have done exactly this.

Seriously -- the way some Russian women were dressed in the lobby and lounge made me wonder if they were working. It's quite striking to see women dressed like streetwalkers strolling next to women in full burkas.

Update: This hotel is not lady friendly meaning you cannot take any female into your room. Its very hypocritical of the management considering that they have a club right on the main floor and its full of prostitution, they charge exorbitant cover fees + expensive soda drinks and they also have a chinese massage parlour on the 6th floor.

I ended up booking a full night with one Sri Lankan and one Tajikistani girl who I found in the club and ended up spending overnight in another hotel.
