I would rate the service and food as adequate -not bad but not spectacular. Now that MH has joined OW, I look forward to trying them on a long haul route, perhaps on their A380.

My gate was not close to main lounge (“E” concourse, iirc). As it turned out, it was a remote gate accessed by a 5 or 6 minute bus ride way over on the other side of the terminal. I would rate the service and food as ‘adequate’ -not bad but not spectacular and perfectly acceptable for a regional flight.
