I noticed a bit of a glitch in the app on Sunday,

I was booked into WTP and I upgraded using Avios to CW several hours before check-in. After check-in the Boarding Pass showed the correct seat I chose (in CW) but underneath it said WTP as the class.
Caused a bit of confusion because it's a CW seat with WTP underneath it! Luckily I had no problems accessing the lounge once I asked the staff to look it up on the system but not sure if it was a one-off or a bigger problem?

I tried refreshing the boarding pass several times but there was no change.

(Also: Yay, Passbook soon!)

I had that a month or so ago too. Instead of using the app, I printed a BP which didn't show the same problem.

I've got a WTP UuA'd to CW tonight and the BP on my iPhone is the same - correct/new seat number but wrong/original class.

As angatol says, a printed BP is correct.

Looks like it's not just me then!
I did think about asking for a printed BP (in fact lately I've had issues with the app and getting mobile BP's). I went to the check-in desk and wasn't offered one, the phone scanned OK, so I didn't really worry too much.

A short explanation at the lounge (after a "hmm, WTP/Bronze... Nope") and typing my details into the computer yielded results. Just thought it was worth mentioning.

Hi - it's been a while since I've been on the forum, but there's a big new release going out today.

As of the latest version of the app, all new (i.e. not already downloaded) boarding passes will be presented via Passbook. This has been a much-requested feature on the app and will pave the way for more upcoming enhancements.

The first of these will be notifications on the lock screen - which should be coming next Tuesday. Three hours before your flight, you'll see a link on your iPhone's "lock" screen which will open your boarding pass within Passbook. This should make it much easier for you to get to your boarding pass.

There's more on the way, including quite a few enhancements to the Android app over the next few months (which we are intending to release on BB10 devices very soon).

As ever, if there are any questions - please let me know.

British Airways mobile apps.

Just checked in for my flight tomorrow, and now see a beautiful boarding pass in Passbook. Great work Gavin and team - particularly on the nice clean aesthetics! Looking forward to mid June for them to automatically appear on the lock screen.

On a side note - I'd also love to have my BAEC card in Passbook - with miles info etc.

Great work!

Thanks Gavin. I just noticed something that is new to me. It seems like there is a native MMB with an easy to use seat map. Was that there before? It works great in any case and is quite helpful to me.

Looking forward to the Passbook on my next flight.

Excellent News Gavin!
Do you also plan to add pushed updates to flight status (delays, gate changes etc) in the near future?

Probably it has already been asked before, but I don't want to go back with posts...
Will BA develop an app for iPad? I tried the AA's one and it looks awesome

You can't use tablets to display boarding passes in the UK (I don't know why), so very unlikely.

EDIT: Well, you can display them on a tablet, but they won't be accepted is what I mean

You could still book and track flights, manage bookings and EC, check in, take a look at terminal maps and get informations.
Everything you can do connecting to BA.com, but more simplified and user-friendly

Agreed! This would be a welcomed feature.

The new app is warning not to install on iOS 5

Why release to iOS, when it's not ready for the latest version of that OS?
