Wow, pretty lame promo considering they were giving away Q3FN certs the last time they devalued points. Makes me happy that I moved away from HHonors.

With the massive devaluation, it should be 10000 points / wknd night. Ridiculous.

I know.. I think Hilton will be valuable for low end stays now.. I do some of those when I need a hotel just for the bed and shower.

At 25000 points a night? No. Unless you have hundreds of millions of pesos in your account. Looking forward to Iron Pyrite next month.

FlyerTalk was experiencing technical difficulties at the time you posted.

huh... I should poke around and see if any work for my future stays.. I vaguely remember reading that some of the low end hotels went down in categories.

I'm not too invested in their program as my balance is low and fortunately haven't signed up with their CCs.

I'm Diamond and it tends to be several days to a week after the announcement when I get the email. Always learn of it first here!

Well, on a total of 4 HH stays, 4 nights at an ADR of ~$110, I'm going to net back 26K points when it's all said and done (this includes promos, MyWay, Gold bonus, and converting VS->HH at 1:2).

If I value HH points at .4 cents per point (which is about what I value them at), that's an effective kickback of around 25%.

I can live with that. Oh, and I don't have the Hilton branded CCs- if I did that would help the kickback considerably. It helps that my stay patterns work well with relatively cheap Hilton-family hotels on one night weekend stays (and I wouldn't do much better on a price than just Pricelining). This is also consistent with what I got from last year's Hilton spend.

No, I won't be using those points to go to the Maldives- but I can live with a 25% kickback.
