Is this person trying to scam me by selling his United Air Miles?
He has 150,000 air miles to sell. He says they are transferable.
So I call the guy. I am trying to vet him.
I am asking why he is selling the miles.
Basically, his explanation is that he is having a difficult time dealing with UAL customer service trying to get the flight he wants and if he sold the miles, he does not lose anything.
Does this sound legitimate?
He is selling 25,000 miles for $250.

I'd suggest you review the MileagePlus Program Rules; they clearly (in bold, even) state that selling and purchasing MP miles isn't allowed.
