6/23 SEA - LAX 6:05 departure
Scrambled eggs with cheese, asparagus, and tomato. There was also some sort of hash (?) but I didn't quite catch how the FA described it. Not a bad small breakfast, tasted ok to me but then it had been my first meal in about 12 hours, so I guess even airline food tastes good then!

6/20 PDX-SNA #584: Hot turkey sandwich with side salad

6/22: SNA-PDX #585: Herb chicken breast with side salad

Didn't eat either one but they looked OK

Not a fan of scrambled eggs in general (not to mention reconstituted airline ones), but the hash is actually very good.

6/19 LAS-SEA 910a departure: scrambled eggs with that grey looking hash thing.

6/20 PDX-LAX 4p departure: chicken breast, salad and lemon drop chocolate. Not a bad spread for a 2 hour flight.

6/23 LAX - DCA
Menu:
Appetizer Salad - Mixed Greens, Feta, Cucumbers and Tomatoes with Warm Dinner Roll
Choice of Entrees - Coq au Vin Pearl Onions and Mushrooms, Redskin Roasted Potatoes, Broccolini
or
Prosciutto Wrapped Cod with Sage Sundried Tomato TApenade, Linguine, Grilled Asparagus and Baby Carrot

Dessert - Chuckanut Bay Very Berry Cheesecake

By Row 3 the only thing left was the Cod. Yeah, I saw it on the menu and knew that it was trouble. It was. Just nasty. Reconsider this one AS!

6/26 #404 PDX-SJC

Chicken skewer on a bed of spinach and a couple of cucumber slices.

I didn't eat it but it looked sad. The chicken was cold and there were about 5-6 spinach leaves on the plate.

My neighbor said it was not good.

6/7/12: KOA-SEA (catered by Island Thyme Gourmet)

Appetizer Salad
Curried Quinoa Salad with Grilled Shrimp
Warm Dinner Roll

Choice of Entres
Huli Huli Chicken Breast
Roasted Purple Sweet Potato
Asian Greens

or

Pecan Crusted Wild Alaskan Salmon
with Fennel Bacon Butter
Mashed Potatoes
Green Bean Bundle

Dessert
Kona Gold Macadamia Nut Kona Coffee Cake

Had the Salmon which was cooked 'just right', very tasty

6/8/12: SEA-EWR
First Class Breakfast
Fresh Seasonal Fruit
Warm Fresh Pastries

Choice of Entres
Steak and Eggs
Scrambled Eggs with Petite Tender Beef
Hash Browns

or

Corned Beef Hash Potato Cake
Scramble Eggs
Hollandaise

Had the Steak and Eggs - it was awful. The corned beef hash potato cake breakfast was the only offering on the 6/26/12 DEN-SEA flight. It was slightly better than the steak and eggs if you managed to somehow remove the hollandaise

6/26/12: SEA-KOA
Appetizer
Smoked Pork Tenderloin with Mango Salsa
Warm Hawaiian Sweet Roll

Choice of Entres
Grilled Chicken Breast with Sesame Teriyaki Sauce
Pineapple Coconut Rice
Asparagus

or

Potato Crusted Cod with Pineapple Curry Sauce
Red Skin Mashed Potato
Julienne Vegetables

Dessert
Ice Cream Sundae

Both the appetizer and the grilled chicken breast were very tasty. The ice cream sundae was a scoop of vanilla ice cream over a chocolate brownie.

Had the same thing on SEA-ANC yesterday. Served on a small dish with no tray. Really, for a 3 hour flight at dinner time, it was very disappointing.

Alaska never serves this on SEA-ANC at dinner time. Ever. If this is what you had then it wasn't dinner time or there was a catering mistake.

6/30/12 AS150 ANC-LAX: Cheese plate. Larger-than-normal slice of gouda.

On a flight of this length (5h3m--as long as a transcon), especially arriving in LAX in the morning with things to do during the day, it would really be nice to have a hot towel service upon arrival. Getting off the plane feeling like you've just rolled out of bed is a bit gross. Any idea why hot towel service isn't provided here? What's the official standard for when hot towel service is provided? It can't be length of flight, because ANC-LAX is longer than SEA-DCA, LAX-DCA, and SEA-ATL (all of which do receive the hot towel service--well, not sure about the last one, but the first two do).

I already know what to expect on the ANC-SEA-ANC portions, but it would be nice to know if I need to make a Pappadeaux's run before getting on 731 to come home.
AS 730, ANC-SEA: Apple crepe, instant scrambled eggs, one pineapple cube, one strawberry, and one of the saddest-looking orange slices I've ever seen.

AS 730, SEA-IAH: Roast beef sandwich smothered in cheddar cheese, two small tomato slices on the side, and cold/seasoned freeze-dried potatoes, with the ubitiquous Seattle Chocolate for dessert. Warmed nuts followed about an hour later.

AS 120 ANC-SEA, the usual scrambled eggs and sausage but with a very large slice of what I would describe as apple strudel with walnuts. The usual pineapple piece, orange slice and strawberry.

Moist eggs, hot sausage and apple pie with fruit. EXCELLENT especially since I enjoyed due to an on plane upgrade.^^

7/26 SEA-TUS, 950a departure. A "snack" plate of three pieces of cheese, three crackers, five grapes, and two dried apricots.

8/14 ANC-PDX morning flight. Vegetable quiche with warm tomato slice and two asparagus spears on top. Two pieces of pineapple, one strawberry, one slice of orange. No meat of any sort.

Quiche was completely tasteless, even with the entire salt & pepper package.
