Question on access - We are flying FCOIST/ISTASR. Will have access? I haven't transited IST before, so I'm unsure if European arrivals and domestic departures are in the same area.

IST lounge access - EU arrival, domestic departure

Apologies for cross-posting, I asked this question on the IST international lounge thread but fear I wasn't sufficiently clear.

FCOIST in J. Connecting to ISTASR in J. Star Alliance Gold. 2:30 connecting time.

May we use the lounge in the international terminal, or are we limited to the less-spectacular domestic lounge?

Thanks in advance.

unless i missed it you dont mention what airline you are flying. I believe you would have to be flying a star alliance airline or of course Turkish airlines. You would need be *gold or travelling on a business class or first class ticket. There is an up escalator when you arrive past immigration that leads to the airside international departure gates but I had to show an intransit ticket to an agent before i could go up the escalator. It is worth a try.

On arrival if you just clear immigration, you have to walk to the next terminal( 5 minutes) that handles domestic flites. there is a Turkish Airline club in that terminal. No where as nice as the Intl one. It does have a nice spread for breakfast food and a private shulttle bus from the club right to the plane! kind of nice

Apologies, flying TK on both segments. So your impression is we might be able to access the international lounge despite our onward domestic flight? As long as they let me up the elevator?

Yes, it is worth to check. Of course you would have to go back down the escalator to exit immigration. I seem to remember in this or similar thread that some people were able to do this. Cant guarantee though

Sounds like it is worth a try. We have over a two hour layover, and I assume bags will have been checked through to ASR since I'm starting in the EU (FCO). Please correct me if I'm wrong. And I apologize for my ignorance, this is my first time to IST, I would never ask such amateurish questions about HKG, LHR, NRT, or any of my other usual haunts.

Not sure of the bags. I remember some announcements on arriving at IST if your final stop in TUrkey has a customs office the bags may be booked through. if not they may have to grabbed before continuing.of course check with TK. I just read a few posts back where the op mentions a person cannot get into the intl departure area without a boarding pass for another intl. flight. but it is worth a try. good luck

Flying TK domestic out of Gabiha

Does TK offers a lounge there? Anyone used that airport before and tell me what's the cheapest way to get there? Thanks.

Mrs BondGuy and I are flying on J award tickets (Thanks Award Nexus!!!) on TK YYZ IST in June with an onward domestic connection on TK to DLM. I've read all 30 plus pages and my head is spinning, so I'll make it quick:

What are the odds we can get into the "new" int'l lounge for our six hour layover? What is the easiest way to gain entry?

If that does not work, I guess we will have to "make do" with TK's domestic lounge until our flight departs at 2155. At least we will get to see the int'l lounge when we depart IST, again on J reward tickets.

Thanks in advance

Would anyone like to update which airports have domestic CIP lounges? I don't think thy.com has up-to-date list, the domestic CIP lounges are for M&S C+, E, and E+ members, and Star Alliance Gold. At IST, what additional food items are available for E+ and business class passengers in their dedicated section?

IST
ESB
ADA
AYT
ADB
BJV
DLM
GZT
TZX

Any other airports planned?

Edit: Slight correction for the list above, and isn't there one at SAW too? Maybe it's a contract lounge.

I was in ESB a couple of months ago, and don't believe that a *G is on offer. Instead, AnadoluJet runs their own (lounge) show.

If you're talking about TK lounges, ADB had one.

I believe all domestic CIP lounges have the same policy. Originally I thought the lounges are only open to M&S and Business Class but it looks like any *G may use it when flying with TK metal (*A metal).

If you're flying with Anadolujet, based on the verbiage, is when the lounges are accessible to M&S (C+,E,E+) only, no access for *G.

AJA, OTOH, offers anyone to access the lounge for 50TL at booking. It states that C+, E, and E may use it at no charge. It seems like there's also one at SAW (you can add lounge access during booking with flights from SAW)

He/she's flying in coach, I don't think that allows lounge access.

I've used the ADB lounge as a Star Alliance Gold flying on a TK domestic flight in coach.
