Accès n°1 & immigration upon arrival from non-Schengen countries at CDG

Regarding status. I have observed that French LOVE status. For example. Very often at 2F I see that the elite/biz security line is MUCH longer and slower than the Y line. But it's the elite line...and you've got an oportunity to show the world you're an elite...or is there another reason why you wouldn't choose for efficiency in such a situation?
I think it has more to do with people (naively) thinking that ADP/AF got their act together and would ensure a faster progress through the Acces No. 1 lane. Until they learn that even here their status isn't worth that much.
Best one was international arrivals the other day: separation between Access No. 1 lane and "normal" lane for EU/EEA citizens, one lane for "normal" non-EU. Access No. 1 lane moved very slowly. Reason: the ADP line managers had the grandiose idea to merge the "normal" EU and the Acces No. 1 lane and to have people see the same agent. It would have been smarter to merge the two "normal" lanes. Did I say that "Pragmatism" would be needed badly?

At ADP I always quickly scan the situation before I choose a lane. But yes, it shouldn't be like that!

Accès n°1 & immigration upon arrival from non-Schengen countries at CDG
Back from LHR this morning. First one in Accès n°1 lane, while there were 20 or so people in the standard lane. No problem from me

Immigration upon arrival from non-Schengen countries at CDG
On early-morning arrival from longhaul, the situation at CDG immigration is often dismal . Sleepy and trying to assess whether ACCES N°1 or normal is faster is hard from the end of the line as one cannot measure how many counters are dedicated to each lane. But with the large number of business class and elite using the priority lane, it is often slower because few officers handle them compared to the normal lanes.

(PS: I do find France in general and CDG in particular to be the absolute worst in Europe for the respect of EU immigration lines. There is regularly absolutely no enforcement/difference between the two or only one or other available to some category of passengers. It regularly totally infuriates me!

I fully agree with brunos. Moreover, while creber mentions a pretty bad experience of ADP having the great idea of merging acces no1 with the regular EU line, I have experienced some even "greater" genius who had had the fantastic idea to merge the acces no1 line with the NON EU line!! 2E, early morning with all those flights arriving from the US, I'll let you imagine how happy I was!
