can they turn over these saved body images to the National Institute of Health
for some kind of medical study? I'm sure Congress can allocate several million
halibuts to get a report on how fat/skinny/big/small/tall/short airline passengers
are these days.

I find your attitude interesting. When you are not in control of what actually get's posted you get a pit snippy.
I don't know, coming onto a site like this, that is more than a little anti-TSA, it's easy to be defensive and "snippy". And who cares if he or any TSA employee on here is snippy? We are called liars, perverts, and worse. Yet when we present a snippy attitude to those who are less than friendly, why, it's proof positive TSA employees are the worst.

Continue to be snippy BB! These people will get over it, and if they don't, well, I won't loose any sleep over it.

Nothing personal, Tom. Your one of my favorite posters on this site!

Is that to say that the machines could never store and transmit images, even if DHS/TSA desires this capability at some time in the future?

So when is TSA going to post a true image, actual size and resolution?

For an agency that goes through measures as using blogs and posting videos to defend itself from allegations over a sippy cup that to not answer questions about the about the WBI thing to be a little awkward?

Sorry, Bob, but Big Sis says it aint so. We've witnessed TSA dancing around the truth, obsfucation, out right lying, passing out misleading statements as 'facts, etc and quite frankly trust few in your agency. Nice try though.

All of you know this was not TSA. It was DOJ. But I don't think any of you are really upset that someone stored the images from these machines. If you were all of you would not now be posting here, but emailing, calling or otherwise attempting to contact the DOJ, to complain to them. But i doubt you are or have. Be honest, are you?

If you haven't, then you are just using this as an excuse to attack TSA, and if so, I don't think your arguments/complaints carry the wright you want it to.

Why would Nappy even bother to voice any concerns if it was only the DOJ? Don't think that DOJ falls under the boot heel of DHS/TSA.

I don't think Bob understands that ignoring a problem doesn't really make it go away. From a PR perspective silence often communicates confirmation of the veracity of a complaint.

The reason people don't trust Bob probably has more to with the questions he ignores than the ones he answers.

That still doesn't answer the question that Tom M. and many other FTers have asked. If these photos are supposedly "family friendly", why hasn't TSA release copies in the highest resolution?

Makes me think that they are covering something.

Oh, Bob, your response is bull sh!t

the images are being sent to a Japanese facility to apply mosaic to certain
parts of the body. after completion, they will be release to the public.

the current US passport production is outsourced to Thailand. now the saved
body images are outsourced to Japan for re-touching... whatever happened
to keeping the jobs for Americans?

Once the study is over maybe TSA could do something beneficial, like offer waiting line exercise classes...

TSA could put negative discussion of WBI Strip Search machines to rest in a matter of moments by just posting WBI images in the same size and resolution as seen by WBI machine operators.

The fact that TSA has not done so would lead one to believe they know the images are not safe enough for the cover of Readers Digest.

I say put up or shut up TSA!

I think they have answered questions about the WBI, and they have post images. I honestly belive that no matter what images TSA post, some of you will never be happy or believe those images.

Another TSO recently said on this site that the images gem the WBI he uses were not good quality. Do you believe him?

What does that have to do with what I said?
