As always, it is the metal that counts. If you get a 500 mile minimum on UA metal flights it doesn't matter how you book it. US flight number or CO ... or even IR.

Determining LH booking class
I have two LH segments as part of a UA itinerary (MUC-KBP and vice versa). On .bomb the booking class shows as Q and V (it shows as an LH flight #, not a UA code share if that makes a difference).
I used the LH PNR that is now available on .bomb and went to the LH website to look up the itinerary; there too is shows Q/V as the booking class (interesting that is also shows all of the UA segments - I would have thought it would only show the LH flights).
So it this actually Q/V and will I earn 100% EQM/RDM and 100% 1K RDM bonus for these intra-Europe segments?
Thanks!

you received 500 miles (for U class min) + elite bonus (25 or 100%, depending on your elite level)
I would like to clarify this as I am flying U class itin with LH and debating whether to credit this on M&M (where its 100% miles) or MP (with 50% miles).
but if MP gives me 500 mile minimum (+ 500 bonus miles per flight) then MP would be the way to go for me

Continental needs to be added to the list. From United's web site,
FC: F - 125%/150%
BC: J,C,D - 125%/150%
BC: Z - 100%/150%
EC: Y,B - 100%/150%
EC: M,H,K,Q,U,V,G,W,E,S,T,N,L - 100%/100%
EC: X,I,O - 0%,0%
United elites also earn bonus miles with 500 mile minimums.

No fare bonus for C class since March
I'm looking in my MP account and I see they did not give me the fare bonus for all my C flights since March. This includes both UA flights to LHR and LH flights to MUC both from the USA. Any ideas why? I should probably call UA MP I just noticed this. Since I'm getting close to 1K this year it would really make a difference. My F fares since March are showing this but not the C.
According to the UA website and what is posted here I should be getting the fare bonus on all these C flights.

This may be the reason for the lower earnings.
However, this was the old earning, and I think this might have changed.
Best bet is to check your booking class and then refer to the UA MP earning page for the metal you were flying.

Yes I did that and it says 50% for C on UA. My feb C ticket got it but the March and onward no. It is C booking code and it is listed in my MP account as such.
Cut and paste from MP statement:
Here is a listing from Feb:
UA C Class 938 ORD to LHR
* 8,895
* 3,953flight miles
* 3,953bonus for elite members
* 989bonus for booking code
Here is a listing from Mar:
UA C Class 949 LHR to ORD
* 7,906
* 3,953flight miles
* 3,953bonus for elite members
* 0bonus for booking code
I'm also confused why it's only 25% in Feb and nothing in March when it seems it should be 50% for both.
OK it might be that the MP account fare listing is wrong rather than the miles credited. I just looked up the ticket receipt and it lists the above flights as respectively D and Z class rather than C class as stated in the MP account. Z gets no fare bonus and D gets 25% which would explain the miles credited. They both get 50% EQM however and apparently that is not listed and can be different from the fare bonus. It would be helpful if UA MP states the correct booking code when it credits miles.

MP wrote back to me right away and basically said exactly what I wrote above that it was Z not C. I told them it would be good if the MP account listed the flights as Z rather than listing them incorrectly as C so that I would not have this issue. It's nice they write back immediately.

I have a TAP flight coming up, FCO-LIS in U. OP states I should receive 100% credit, but UA website doesn't list that class for TAP. I also called UA and they confirm 0 (assuming the person I talked to didn't just quickly logon to the UA website herself). I'll reply back in a month or so and update on whether I received credit or not.

U on TAP now earns 50%. However TAP is now selling many discounted economy seats as E and T, neither of which is listed either under mileage-earning *or* non-earning fare classes. I e-mailed Mileage Plus requesting clarification and received a pointless form letter back thanking me for my feedback.
Determining booking class on TAP is in general difficult.
