How about common decency and mannerism? I'm sure they still teach that at grammar school.

Cutting the Q

It is becoming the new topic in thisthread, din`t realize that this could cause another discussion as well Actualy it didn`t bother me that much when I was waiting, but now after reading the comments .....?!? At least have the decency to ask wether this is really the line for F/J/MPC.

Actually what tey should do is to check the BP`s during the line-up (they do this anyway most of the times) and if they spot a F-ticket they can invite them to go infront. Or they should have the both lines open, so the F/J/MPC line goes quicker.

How many times do I see they board Y pax at the same time as the others. Especially when the line is that long they should try to clear this line first, before getting the Y pax in.

damn .....I am getting a thief of my own thread.

Well .....I am glad that there are many others that feel the love for KA as I do. I will be soon missing them as I will be relocating to the land of SQ, so not much KA and CX travel anymore for me.

PS if anyone sees the Belgian FA (mixed HKG/Belg) on KA on any of the flights, please see hi on my behalf

I have notice on a couple of occasions that they do that. F pax only, and it irritated a few J ones, LOL. Maybe that's why they don't do that anymore.

Gate staff still escort F pax to the front - at least at HKG - fairly consistently. This is not the same thing as a F/J pax cutting into the front of the F/J queue uninvited.

I disagree. It's not a separate queue for F/J pax, the queue is specifically for F/J pax, MPC DM/GO/SL/GR pax and OW Emerald/Sapphire pax. Nowhere in the rules does it say that F/J pax can cut in line.

When I travel in F or J, I certainly don't cut into the line. Frankly, there's no reason to anyway, there's plenty of overhead space in F/J and lack thereof is the only reason that one would want to board early anyway.

Cuting or no cutting, I wonder why anybody flying in J or F wants to board an aircraft early. I can understand it in Y with all the overhead luggage constraints, but J and F? In any case, if I'm travelling Y even holding MPC "master of the universe" status, I don't mind letting J and F pax first, after all they are paying much more than I do, right?

Now turning into the heart of the subject:

KA is a saviour when travelling to Mordor.
It's like a warriors wife, preparing her husband's armour and giving him a few hours respite before the battle, and welcoming him back home afterwards, to a clean, comfy, and relaxing nest to give him cure to his wounds.
Something like the last helicopter from Saigon or a modern Crimean Nightingale.
No more can be said.

Ditto. Precisely how I feel.

Perhaps they feel that they should not need to wait after paying F/J fare, or perhaps they like to feel different (DYKWIA).

For CX, gate agents sometimes invite F passengers or DM on J tickets to the front of the F/J lines.

Oh yeah. I can perfectly empathise with this one.

To the masses of HK Big4 paratroopers (also known as auditors), KA planes are the Jolly Green Giants who take you into "the jungle" (PRC) for a SAD mission (Search And Destroy, also known as an IPO audit, or slash and burn), then come back when you radio them (Open return ticket - we never got our return dates fixed) to take out the wounded and the living.

Love the reference to Mordor BTW http://wikitravel.org/en/Mordor

Because the champagne on board is far superior to that in the lounge (in CX's case at least - not true with BA), as is the seat.
