I'm realatively new to flyer talk. I've learnt alot from this thread.

I logged on the flyer talk the night this thread was started, I read that the fare was still available on certain dates, but my schedule didn;t allow me to travel. Noooooooo, I said as I am determined to fly the A380, oneday . Looks like I only missed out on a $200 voucher.

Good one, gbsfo !

As one who was turned away at the gate weeks after ticketing,
I hope this mistake fare is not excluded from our collective memory.

They've done it before. Especially if you call right away. Wrong day, etc.

my point exactly - if you call right away (i.e. within 24 hours) it can/will be fixed - not 96 hours later ...

Because of the perks I get as an EXP. That does not make me like AA more when they screw me or fail to make a compassionate decision that helps me a lot and costs them very little if any.

I also don't believe that the grass is greener with any US carrier. I actually believe some have very brown grass

Back to our regularly scheduled thread - can we take a quick survey and see who has taken AA's offer and which one?

So the appropriate redress for "someone" not being able to change her ticket is for you to get a first class ticket at 90% off? What a peculiar notion of karma.

PP said 90% off. $1200 being 10% of $12000.

Anyone can get an F ticket LAX-SYD return on QF for a lot less than $12000? Care to share?

Does the AA fare have the same restrictions that the QF fare does?
