Hi everyone, based on the advice in this thread, I've decided that it would be worth paying quite a lot of money to stay here for our forthcoming stay. I booked a contemporary deluxe harbour room, got in touch with the hotel, and got confirmation of the upgrade to a xx16 junior suite, so thanks again for the tip!
My question is whether anyone has had the airport transfer. Is the Bentley, while expensive, as glamourous an experience as it sounds?
Also, could anyone give me any more details about the club lounge? Are the evening hors d'oeuvre the sort that would probably replace dinner? Are 'premium wines and spirits' really premium? There were some general descriptions towards the beginning of the thread but nothing too recent, and I know these things can sometimes change. Thanks again!!

My experience is that ALL the meals in the lounge could replace bfast or dinner. The Bfast is pretty much one of the best I have ever had. Everything I could want, all continental foods, muesli's, yogurt, all asian dishes, etc. The snacks are many, sushi, wings, chicken fingers, sticks, etc. AND, alcohol for free. Crazy.!
I always just take a cab from the airport, while the bentley or benz might be nice, the ride isn't that interesting.

Also, this earlier post on this thread suggests that the -00 rooms are Superior suites, while this website says the 00s are the Deluxe suites, which have the jacuzzi with the view. Anyone know which is right?
While you must take it with a grain of salt, I was told it was "one of the best rooms in the hotel." I got the impression that the -00 is as nice as it gets without going to a named suite.

I still got two free nights stay and migth use it in IC HK in November. So is it better to get a biggest free night offer in IC HK than IC GS. I've never stayed in this hotels before.
So far I used the free nights in IC Singapore and IC Perth Australia and both turned out average rooms than a paid room night.

Hi,
How far is IC Grand Stanford to IC Hongkong?
I was able to book a free night stay redemption at the IC HK on Nov 29-30 but I could not book the Nov 28-29 date so I think I have to book it in IC GS.
Its my first time to go out of HK is there a hotel transport from the airport or are taxis cheap?
Thanks a lot =)

Taxis are plentiful and cheap or the hotel can arrange airport transfers, just email them for the current prices. IIRC it was around 50 (GBP) for a one way trip in the hotel Mercedes when I was there last year.

Mini Review
Hi guys
I stayed here for 3 nights last week and wanted to put my thoughts to page.
I landed and was through security super quick and found myself in a taxi en route to the hotel without really realizing it
It is about a 35 min taxi drive from the airport and costs about $250HKD to get there.
On check in I was informed my room type was not available, I had booked a Contemporary Deluxe Harbor View Room with the idea of being upgraded to a junior suite with my Ambassador status. The receptionist was quick to point out because of the lack of junior suites, I had been given a 3 room category upgrade and was put in an Executive Suite (748). Well what a fabulous surprise - and a fabulous room!!!

As you would expect the view was spectacular, the 3 rooms were huge (lounge, bedroom and fantastic bathroom) and more importantly the service I received from the minute I stepped in the hotel was outstanding.
The pool was nice, great view but I am sure it could get really busy around the spa area as there were not many sun beds. The spa was great, I had a couple of massages and they were terrific (ask for Bridgette!).
All in all a great stay, they could not do enough for me and my Ambassador status was well worth the extra money (unlike at Singapore Intercontinental which I will detail in a different post).

Congratulations. I think I have stayed there maybe 5 or 6 times as a Royal Ambassador and never seen an Executive Suite.
