How to Findt Three class equipment on Domestic UA Routes?
I noticed when upgrading a IAD-SFO flight and I got upgraded to C class. How do you find out which flights are three-class?

You can use the expert settings on .bomb to see classes of service offered when you are looking a prospective flights or when you make a dummy booking.

I should have been more precise in my question. Say I want to go from HNL to DCA. Short of doing a dummy booking for the dozen possible flights, is there a way to know right from the beginning which flights have three classes?
It seems like a seasonal thing where UA has some domestic flights with three classes, no?

A good place to start is:
http://www.unitedcargo.com/utilities/schedules.jsp
Obviously look for 747, 767, and 777, that'll give you the flight numbers and origin and destination information.
Then you'll have to go view the availability either on ual.com (expert mode or seat maps) or KVS or ITA to check for C class availability (to tell if its 3 class equipment).

That by itself doesn't help. Lots of 2-cabin aircraft show C D Z buckets. 3-cabin flights tend to be between hubs and utilize 777s and 767-300s (and the odd 747). Short of checking the seatmap for flights with these types of aircraft there really is no way to know.

There are definitely routes where 3 class service has traditionally been available all the time, mostly between hubs.. between IAD & SFO/LAX, DEN-ORD/IAD among them. Typically hub to hub flights. Seasonally you sometimes can get 3 class service between SEA & IAD.
The only sure fire way to know is to check the seatmaps (unless the equipment shows as a 747..then there is a 100% chance it's 3 class).

Typically 3 class planes operate domestic hub to hub flights. There are seasonal changes or last minute aircraft swaps. I don't think any 3 class planes service HNL - DCA.

(Try to imagine a 747 taking off from runway 1/19 at DCA...)

What can we learn from the UAL cargo website?
It merely tells the generic aircraft type, i.e., 777. Does it tell us any more details such as domestic 777, international 777, etc?

I don't think so. The best bet is to check the seat maps, although, obviously, equipment can change between booking and flying so there are no guarantees.

And search, you can see the different equipment types.
The downside is that it only shows results for the next 7 days.
47C is a new interior 747
747 is an old interior 747
A320 is mainline A320
20X is a TED A320 (not yet converted to mainline)
20Y is a TED A320 (not yet converted to mainline)
20D is a converted A320 (TED to mainline)
B757 is a 2 class 757
57P is a 3 class 757 (p.s. configuration)
I don't remember the code for the new interior 757... Can someone help?
67I is a new interior 767
B767 is an old interior B767 (now 2 class, since all 3 classes have been converted)
Currently there is no distinguishing between a 777 (2 class and 3 class)
