or is this just more anti-aman stuff? i can understand complaints over lease/delays to a certain degree, but it seems over the top sometimes, like this - http://translate.google.com/translat...istory_state0= (may 28)

could it be that aman is always behind? nah, must be a conspiracy. and what about delays of other developments.. lots of resort development in area beside aman - http://www.slideshare.net/Montenegri...smontenegrodcp

1300 acres next to amangiri for "mixed-use" development
90 acres in malibu canyon for resort/spa
Yes, Kage, Aman are invariably behind because they (or rather Adrian) demand an extremely high spec., and most owners/governments just do not appreciate why this extreme level of finish is required.

The guests of course do understand and that is why Aman is so revered at the high-end.

I have over the years seen numerous projects fold half way through because Adrian would not compromise and I am on his side, because when he does it, he does it right (apart from a couple of resort like Amanwalla!).

He is probably the only hotelier who is prepared to walk away from a project rather than compromise, so I havfe no idea whether the Aman/GHM projects will flourish or not. Adrian is only chairman of GHM and is less passionate about their projects. The two companies are remarkably separated, so even if Sveti Stefan folds, the GHM could continue, but I cannot imagine Aman holding onto Milocer without Sveti Stefan......even they have some grasp of financial management!

This is incredible news if its true.
There was work going on at Sveti Stefan last month when I was at Milocer. They said we couldnt tour Sveti Stefan though as it was dangerous.

Interesting that the link on their website is now gone.

Just heard Sveti Stefan is still on - a typical Aman work in progress. No doubt it will be worth the wait.

Amangiri definitely scheduled for September opening.

This property looks wonderful. I've only made to to Amangani, and then it was a few years ago. It was one of the top resort experiences I've ever had.

Does anyone know how/if children will be accommodated at the new Utah property? We went to Jackson Hole just before our first son was born, and, I recall a few kids there, but perhaps my memory is incorrect. I see no reference to children (favorably or unfavorably) on the Amangiri site.

I've emailed them...but do others have experiences with kids at Aman properties?

4BR residential villas set on 1.3 > 10 acres

plans for 1300 acre plot include 27 hole golf course, probably by top designer

like everyone else, canyon equity is having trouble finding financing for all their projects

more info, cool. ^
