US SFO-NRT 747 Biz Amenity Kit...

Still include the little toothbrush and toothpaste?

Upgrade cleared and I need to pack for a 'fresh' arrival

Yes, it still includes toothbrush and toothpaste as of late last month.

They did as of 12/08. Also had ear plugs, thick wool socks, eye shields and probably some other things I'm forgetting.

Every tpac and tatl kit I have seen so far this year does(10 flights) including sfo-nrt. Except one nrt-bkk flight where they came around with a basket but they still had tooth brushes and paste(even though it is not really tpac).

Remember that the toothpaste is Colgate brand and it is made in China.

Are you sure? The one I got from a few days ago said 'Made in Canada' unless they give different toothpaste in C.

Wirelessly posted (RIM BlackBerry 8700c: BlackBerry9000/4.6.0.247 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

They stopped giving out the Chinese Colgate last summer (possibly before) during the rash of tainted-food stories.

I have two UA amenity kits that I got flying in C (SFO-NRT & NRT-SFO) earlier this month. On the plastic wrap, housing the amenity kit, lists the items and their place of manufacture, here they are:
Bag - made in China
Socks - made in China
Eyemask - made in China
Ear Plugs - made in USA
Tissues - made in China
Mints - made in Spain
Marine Body Butter - made in USA
Toothbrush - made in China
Toothpaste (Colgate) - made in Canada
Romance card - made in USA

I also flew NRT-TPE-NRT in C recently and the "basket" had three items to choose from:
Ear Plugs - made in USA
Eyemask - made in China
Toothpaste (Rembrandt) - made in USA & toothbrush - made in China

iAMreallyBORED - made in USA... must be really bored today

I'd recommend a sponge bath in the lav if you really want to be fresh!

Do I need to make a special request for that in advance?

I keep thinking about the first "Austin Powers" movie (as directed to the then-quite-lovely Elizabeth Hurley):

"How do you like to do it? Do you like to wash up first? You know, top and tails, whore's bath? Personally before I'm on the job, I like to give my undercarriage a bit of a how's-your-father."

It can certainly be done in a UA lavatory!
