FB-Gold - no upgrades in NWA

FB-Gold - no upgrades in NWA
Hello All : Excellent website and today i joined and you have plenty of information here...Great Job..
I am a FB-Gold member for last couple of years and residing in USA. I always denied upgrades in Northwest stating that i have a US address and i am not allowed to do a upgrade...So finally i changed my home address to india and kept the office address in USA.
Do you think i would be able to get the upgrades on the domestic flights in USA ? also does this has any impact on using the airline lounge ?? I use NWA lounge very often..
