You are right, it is not empty on eticket. It says "0PC" for AA segment. On Iberia segments it says "1 Pieces"

For the Iberia EU to US part it says 1 piece and I can buy more. For US to EU operated by AA it says nothing, it is blank in the checked baggage column and there is no option to buy online.
