Opening hours for ORD lounge?

I have a 5 hour layover in ORD (flying RDU-ORD-ARN), arriving to ORD at 11 am and leaving for ARN at 4:25 pm.
When does the SK lounge open? I usually fly ORD-CPH so I haven't arrived at ORD this early before, but since I've spent a lot of time at ORD, it has very limited entertainment value to me...
I guess I could do some UA RCC "club hopping" until the SK lounge opens, or I could try out the Swiss lounge. When does that open?

Unless it has changed recently, the SK lounge at ORD opens at 1:00 PM.

SAS ORD lounge closed for refit

At the BMI forum they are mentioning that the SAS lounge at ORD is closed for a refit:

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=802797

Has anybody more info about this refit and, more importantly, when the lounge will be open again?

The SK newsletter magazine mentioned something about a redo of the ORD lounge. The LX lounge right opposite security is also getting a do-over. ^

My guess is they will change the layout a bit. The smoking room and the computer desks just hog space.

Sounds good, hopefully they will enlarge it a bit as well. I guess it will be quite cosy in the LX lounge these days now the SAS lounge is closed.

Would be nice if they will indeed do this; a slightly bigger seating area would be quite welcome.

Has the lounge reopened?
If not, any word on when it will happen?

Open

Hi!

Since I'm sitting in the lougne right now I assume there are two options;

1. They are finished and have reopened.
2. They haven't started yet.

Since it is my first time in this lounge I really don't know what is the case.

It's reopened, they've laid out the seats to fit more people and the PC area in a back's removed, in favour of some new "lounge-seats".

The smoking room has also been removed and the space used for regular seating. Overall the lounge is a bit less cramped than before, but even so, only just adequate for the numbers around 3:30pm.

Thanks for the info.
Last time I was at ORD (in March) I tried to spend some time in the Swiss lounge. Not a single seat free and really warm and toasty so I set up shop in the gate area next to the SAS gate. I had lots of space, an electrical outlet for my laptop, and could also see and hear when they started boarding.

Good to hear it's reopened with a bit more space. I guess they didn't add restrooms? Flew via ORD last weekend, but couldn't check out myself if the lounge had reopened or not, as my inbound flight was delayed for over 2 hours due to bad ORD weather; fortunately I managed to catch my outbound LX flight... OT: Nice move by LX to change the ORD flight back to the A330, my goodness, are those C seats bad!!

No, restrooms still outside the lounge, half way to the gate. Also no improvement in the food - so if you've missed your lunch and need more than herb cheese, crispbread, and a bizarre mixture of chips, nuts and twiglets, better stop before security and grab something.
