It is the SISO principle for databases. Yes, SK sold you the ticket and they have to sort things out for you as they go along, but they are rather dependent on the information provided by the operating carrier.
The real problem for me is that when the arrival time switched to 8:30, we were well under the minimum connection time at CDG and the system wanted us to cancel the ticket. The SAS Gold line staff were perplexed and could not help, but the next day the time changed to 7:30 and suddenly we could accept the changes as we met the minimum transfer time. Imagine we had cancelled as we had no option to change and thought we would never make our connection...when in fact we were safe the entire time. I still stand by my point that there are big technical issues with SA's website, even if they are likly getting faulty data from KQ. This is not a robust system and it is clear they have issues with the new alliance partners almost 1 year into Sky Team. |
The integration of systems between SK and SkyTeam does not seem to be very successful, but it does appear that SkyTeam systems are just not as well oiled as Star Alliance and Oneworld systems.
