Looking for recommendation on a great pizza place to sit down for a pie and few glasses of nice wine near the Hyatt Regency Downtown
yikes! Sorry. there’s joyride pizza (Detroit) by the ferry building along the water. Walk down Stockton to market, turn left, and walk down market to the Embarcadero waterfront to joyride next to the ferry building. |
Pie Punks is really good and should be within walking distance to any of the Hyatts. I have had lunch here a few times, would reccomend.
https://www.piepunkssf.com/ Here are my other recommended sit down pizza places: https://www.yellowmoto.com/menu/ https://www.shuggiespizza.com/ https://www.pizzeriadelfina.com/ https://littlestarvalencia.com/menu/ --> this one may have changed.....so YMMV https://hackersf.com/order --> cant belive I almost forgot this, they also have one in Mill Valley There is also a California Pizza Kitchen across the street from the Hyatt on 3rd. JoyRide is good, but its fast food, or drunken food, not sit down. |
Had Sushi Shio on Saturday night. The food was really excellent and the chefs tasting menu was very well down. Highly recommended

Great suggestions on the pizza. Now, where can I get good chilaquiles for breakfast?

Otherwise, maybe Panzon on Stevenson or Caramba on 2nd. ElFaro on First. |

Wrong city. The stand at Ferry Plaza farmer's market is okay (linked above), though IMO they undercook the eggs and the line can be absolutely ridiculous.

I get that but I crave Mexican any time I leave home. It's one of the few cuisines we can't get right here. I'll be in San Diego a few weeks after SFO, maybe I'll save it for there.
There's good mexican in the bay area, I've just never found chilaquiles I like. Sinaloa Tacos and El Paisa in Oakland are really good for tacos. Cholita Linda is also decent, without the edginess. |
