Home-swapping between SF and Berlin, Germany
Hey everyone. I am moving with my partner this fall to SF for a period. Currently we live in Berlin, Germany in a very nice apartment that would be super hard to find on the market. It is 1/2 bed, "Altbau" (early 1900s), protected status due to design, and in a super prime area.
Do you think we have any chance of finding people with a nice place in SF that they want to keep and who are moving the other direction - to Berlin - who might be interested in a homeswap for say 6-12 months ? For various reasons we can't sell our place now, and we think this could make more sense that renting it out and then being taxed on that income.
Would be very grateful for any advice or ideas on how to potentially find someone! Thanks

Not sure this is exactly the right place to ask the question
But I can personally recommend an org called

You don’t have to be an academic to sign up.
Other ideas welcome.

Some of the more popular home swap sites are listed in this article:
https://www.theguardian.com/travel/2...aring-websites
You may want to try to hit up the language or political science/international relations departments of universities to see if they have anyone looking to head in the opposite direction for a semester or two and game for a home swap.
