still under construction. I checked the sfo interactive map. Sad because T2 has some yummy foods.

I wrote in via the contact us form and FlySFO responded, in part:

And, BIG NEWS, the new airside connector between Terminals 2 and 3 is opening in the next two weeks.
The space between Terminal 2 (T2) and Terminal 3 (T3), which includes updating the pre-security connector, building a new post-security secure connector and constructing a 6-story office building. The post-security link will allow passengers the convenience of walking from T2 and T3 to International Terminal G without exiting security.

will put the rest in the "Connecting in SFO" thread.

Wow -- I didn't expect that to happen for a year or more. This is great news for those who are making connections between Delta/Alaska in Terminal 2, and United in Terminal 3 or the international carriers in International-G. No needed to reenter security will surely mean many connections made that would otherwise have been missed.

I also expect that it may make a small, yet material, change in the T3 security lines, as the number of those entering for AX CL access will decline. Depending on how much time I have to kill on any given day, if I feel the need for exercise and a tasty cocktail, I still might mosey over from AS for said beverage and of course, exercise.

And I may mosey over to the AS Lounge now when flying UA depending on crowding at the CL. ;)

I just chose Alaska over United for a trip to Austin partly because you get access to the lounge when in First via paid or miles (not with upgrade, though). I like the new Alaska Lounge at SFO.

As a Delta flyer, that’s great to hear - plus it’ll make the T3 priority pass restaurants more usable for me!

Also when coming to SFO via BART I’ll be able to just hop into the shortest security line I see as long as I’m not checking bags

Confirmed that T2 to T3 connector is open.

Starting yesterday, a small number of UA flights are departing from/arriving into Terminal 2. (Gates D10/D11)

I wonder what that's about. I get how that's now practical with the D-E airside connection, but United has so many gates in E and F. Are they really at capacity in their normal space, or is there some other reason for this?

Advancing UA's objective of making SFO a fortress hub.

Perhaps that's the goal, but I think SFO presents too big and important of a market for Delta and American to let United dominate.
