If you don't mind being 30 mins out by BART you should look at Walnut Creek, Concord and Pleasant Hill which all have major hotels, some adjoining BART. |

you might try booking a refundable room in WC etc and then keep checking as the time gets closer. Sometimes rooms are released closer to the date if corporate folks don't use them.
