Something worth to check as the total value of this machine with coffee pods is about $84 enjoy christophe touchard |
I guess I would need to change some of my answers if I want a machine as I didn't qualify.
|
Awesome find. Told me I was qualified for the $15 machine deal. I will let you know if/when it arrives.
Update: Received an email from DHL yesterday saying that a package was being shipped to me by Senseo. Took them less than 24 hours to process and ship my order. Pretty impressive response. |
What you have to do to get your senseo is put 5 e mails of friends on the
2nd page of the form....as it is a share program to make the brand more known in the USA... Senseo has been so popular in Europe |
Actually, I got the offer and was able to register w/o putting in emails (I did end up sending it to one friend, though, but after I registered). They give you the "share" coupons as part of your package.
|
Cool! Just finished mine - now I know what to do with all of the extra coffee pods I can't resist taking with us when we're on the road....
|
Thanks... I just qualified.... and did not get asked to refer anyone until after I had paid.
THANKS! |
Thanks.. I qualified and there is a girl coming to clean the house tomorrow, her name is Sara Lee....^
|
WOW! Did not qualify :p
Probably missed a special answer or something :D |
The online buzz is that the Sara Lee/Senseo branded coffee pods make a horrible cup of coffee. But there are third-party vendors with good coffee pods that will help the Senseo machine make an excellent cup. One I see mentioned a lot is Aloha Island Coffee.
Ordered mine tonight (without having to give any email addresses before learning that I qualified). Thanks to the OP for this topic. |
I previously got one of these via a smash the pot offer which I pretended to smash my hotel's coffee pot. That one was given away and its replacement broke. Thankfully, I qualified this time around :)
|
I just qualified and paid my $15. This is great cause I've been wanting one of these one cup machines and this was just the thing for me. Thanks for posting!
--------------------------------- Update: Just got an email from DHL showing they shipped it! Talk about fast turnaround, they shipped it in about 9 hours! That is fast service!^ |
Thanks!
|
Just qualified ! Wow, that is a nice thing ^
My gf will be happy (I dont drink coffee) :) Edit: I couldnt resist and "order" a few more :D |
Broken out of the box
Got mine today. Broken out of the box. It flushes fine, but it won't heat water. The red button just keeps flashing at me. I think it's mocking me.
I'll try customer service on Monday. And Yes, on the survey, I made sure to let them know that I definitely let others know when I'm not happy with a product. |

Isn't there a device that will let you make your own pods?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update: I just found this product on the net, http://www.taylorgifts.com/prodetail~itemNo~26541.asp Haven't found anything on the net about anyone using it in the senseo yet though, but it looks promising. |

A tip for better coffee in the Senseo. When you first turn it on, run a cup of just water, without the pod. The water doesn't necessarily heat up completely for the first cup, so it tends to be weaker. If you run a cycle of just water, the water for your actual cup of coffee will be hotter. |

There are. I use these and enjoy the coffee from them. However, cleanup can be messy, and you need to use the 2-cup pod holder.

In terms of Senseo pods, I did some research back in 2006 when they were giving the machine away for free. There are quite a few websites/blogs that guide you step by step making your own pods. Some folks prefer using their own coffee, instead of the pre-packed pods. You get to choose how "advanced" or "experimental" you want to be ;): How to make a Senseo Pod How to create your own Senseo coffee pads Make Your Own Coffee Pods Hacking your Senseo coffee maker |

You do realize what kipper referred to were just filters (in the shape of a pod), not the pods filled with coffee, right? :p

I'd rather find a deal for, say 15 filters for $30 or something like that.
Check out the "perfect pod maker" gizmo, seems excessive for $40. |
so happy few flyer talk people are getting their new seseo coffee machines
i have been using this machines for few years as it is the number one sale in Europe...and the coffee from Sara Lee is very good ....just get the dark coffee have a good day |
Got mine!
I got mine a couple of days ago, and works great. Thanks, OP!
|
Thanks. My Melitta One is dying of old age. I need a new POD coffee maker.
|
I got my machine.Dissapointed with the quality of the coffee. For what the coffee costs they should give the machine away.It requires 2 pods for a "real" cup.I am going to try making my own pods and hopefully have a useful machine,if that doesn't work,I guess I could give the machine to a thrift store.
|
Got mine the other day and it works great, the coffee was decent (think I'll get one of those little 3rd party refillable pods). It also worked well fixing hot chocolate and my spiced vanilla.
|
i just received my Amazon order for the Eco Pad. I tried regular ground coffee and it doesn't have the strength or quality I was looking for. I'll pick up some finely ground coffee tonight and post my experience. The Eco Pods are pretty nifty. The pod instructions say use the single serve button and you must use the 2 cup tray. I hope this Senseo pod replacement gizmo really works. I'd be grateful for any tips.
|
I just got mine- Thanks to the OP!
The coffee that came with is really, really disappointing. I've only tried it once- selected one cup and ended up with half a cup of mildly flavored brown water. If I could get a cup of good, bold, flavorful coffee I would love the machine. I might pick up the dark coffee as others have suggested, or try and make my own pods. I saw some websites that show you hot to make a pod with just a regular coffee filter. I have more filters than I know what to do with (thanks Costco) so I might experiment... |
My results using the Eco Pod are in. I bought dark roast '8 O'clock ' beans and ground them into almost powder. That is between espresso and Turkish settings. The first cup I tried I just filled the pod with coffee and hit the 1 cup button as instructed...a watery, weak brew resulted. Next I packed the pod with a shot glass (probably added 30% more coffee) and hit the 1 cup button again an wouldn't you know this cup was perfect. I find if you play around with the amount, grind and blend you can really get a lot of use out of the Senseo and the pods. I haven't yet tried to make a pod with filters..but I will.
|
Thanks to the OP! My Senseo works MUCH better than my Melitta One. Drugstore.com via AA eshopping has the pods (you get 4 AA miles per $ during most of the year and 8 AA miles per $ during special bonus shopping times).

I got mine, and as previously observed by others, the coffee that comes with it just ain't that great, so yep, will be ordering. The machine is a lot bigger than I thought it would be. For some reason, I was thinking "small, fits at an office cubicle desk nicely". Actually about the same size as the 10-cup drip one I had. |
