I have no idea what that means except stay tuned, I suppose. Nevertheless, cblaisd, thanks for sharing. |
HHonors has disappeared from MyPoints before and come back. I think there's still hope, especially given the communication to cblaisd that indicates that HHonors was "removed...until...." A temporary suspension is not the same thing as the termination of a relationship. @:-)

Well, cblaisd's post is cause for some hope. I, too, valued HH points more than anything else. But, there is still UA, and I see that Marriott offers a $100 Marriott cheque. I usually hate these things when they're smaller in value, but maybe at $100 it'd be OK.
Also, they have some gift cards that are sufficiently high in $ value that would allow for free stuff I use (itunes, starbucks, amazon.com). Still, HH was my award of choice, so I hope they return. If enough of us send them an email to that effect, it couldn't hurt. Think I will do so. tls |
Well, I emailed Mypoints, asking why HH had disappeared, and got the following answer:
"Thank you for contacting MyPoints Member Services. Unfortunately, Hilton Honors has recently been unable to process MyPoints redemption requests in a timely manner. In our efforts to provide the best member experience, MyPoints has indefinitely suspended its relationship with Hilton Honors and removed them from our Rewards section. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding." Maybe if enough people emailed them polite inquiries .... tls |
very interesting. I redeemed 30K in Feb. and about two weeks ago I got an email from someone at mypoints telling me that my points should have posted to my Hilton account. I thought it was odd as I never inquired about these since Hilton has always taken so long. Anyway, they did not and I informed him of that. He said he would follow up with Hilton to get it resolved. So far it has not been.
I would love it if they offer SPG as a replacement :) |
Wow; well maybe their answer isn't just corporate spin; tls

I had noticed that the pace of transfer had really slowed down and I had been accumulating a few MyPoints but didn't want to have more than one transfer in process at a time, my last two transfers posted March 10 and April 22, so I was going to do another today when I discovered for myself HHonors is gone. :(
I earn a bulk of my MyPoints through Priceline (3 points/dollar) and Office Depot (tiered offer, 1,000 - 2,000 points per order for me typically). I may just switch to cash for Priceline (3% back from FatCash) and continue to use MyPoints for Office Depot and respond to email offers as usual and then transfer to United. It's a real shame that they've gotten rid of both HHonors and Marriott Rewards. |
It's official. Hilton is no longer participating in MyPoints, even though it's still on the HHonors site. I e-mailed last week to ask about it, and this is the reply:
I apologize at this time My Points is no longer a partner of HHonors. Please continue to check the website for updates. |

HHonors.
I suppose things could change in the future, but for now it looks like I'll be spending my mypoints on gift cards and the like. |
In an e-mail that I received this morning - Hilton has opened their own shopping portal - so it now makes sense why they've discontinued participating in mypoints - see http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=832919 for more.

Well, I'm a bit late coming to this party, but just noticed that HHonors points are no longer available as a MyPoints reward. I had accumulated enough for the Hilton reward but couldn't find it there, so came here to see what was up. Very disappointing - I agree as well that it is likely due to the new HHonors Shopping Mall (which I haven't checked out yet). I wonder about the explanation regarding delays in rewarding of points by Hilton - in my experiences, this has always been timely.
I fly UAL also so think that I will redeem for UAL miles. I will probably close my MyPoints account then to avoid getting the 10 or so emails every day. I still am a member of the eRewards program and AFAIK they still reward HHonors points, but I don't get many offers from them at all, maybe 4 or 5 per week. |

Why not just set your e-mail preferences so you don't receive any e-mail offers from mypoints, rather than closing your account? You can even select what kinds of offers you want to receive/not receive. @:-) |
Jeesh.....the reopening of this thread got me all excited. I thought Hilton was back on My Points as a redemption. :(
