I *think* once there are no more available "the link" doesn't really serve any purpose. I know when i try it later in the day, I do not get anywhere but in the early AM and if something is available it works fine.

Other folks may have a different result, but for me, when an item has "sold out," clicking on "My Special Offers" takes you to an icon for the "12 Days of Christmas/View Collection." When I click on that icon, I get a screen that says "Sorry we are unable to find the rewards that matched your search."

That result seems to be a bit more informative (and a bit less frustrating) than the endless loop that returns you back to the home page. But the ultimate result is the same.

Midnight seems to be the only guaranteed route to redemption heaven. Once again, I give thanks to the person on this thread who alerted us all to the Family Dollar game, by which I accumulated 1700 points, which then allowed me to redeem this week for gift cards from WalMart, Nike, and Best Buy. FlyerTalk rocks!

When they did the 12 Days promotion last year, did they burn through redemptions as quickly as they seem to be doing so this year?

Were they underprepared for how many people would be cashing out, or are they reducing the number of prizes in general? The PC points went out of stock pretty quickly, as did the Hilton points earlier this year.

The PC Points only went out of stock after many people took advantage of the free points bonanza that was available with the Dollar General "My Tongue Ith Thtuck" promotion. I don't think either Dollar General or MCR had any idea the promotion would result in so many points being given out in so short a period of time.

I missed out on that promo. I would just like to see the Priority Club points come back, I was hoping to see them again in Dec. I just raid my neighbors recycle bins on trash day, but only get about 70 points a week that way!! I just wish Coke made booze, i would be awash in points!!!

Traditionally, PC points disappeared toward the end of the year. They would reappear mid-January.

I am glad that it worked for you but from my standpoint it is not worth those hard earned 1,200 points (it's a lot of points!). When the list first came out, I wanted to jump on this opportunity until I realized that they still have a $20 off SW discount code for mere 100 points. That code works for any number of people flying on the same reservation (up to 8, I believe). Usually, the two of us are flying, so it is easily a $40 discount right there and only for 100 points. Granted, the discount has a shorter shelf life than a card along with a few blackout days and requirement of Wanna Get Way only fares but with a spending ratio of 1:12, it is still a better value proposition in my opinion nevertheless.

I got my Southwest card as well. I'm also still holding on to the two $25 gift cards I got from last year's MCR promo, and also have the $20 off WGA fare code, which can all be combined. I usually have more Coke points than I know what to do with so I am happy to spend my account down on the 12 Days promo again (also got $25 TJMaxx, $25 Home Depot, $10 Dominos and $5 McDonalds gift cards this year, and waiting for the 12 packs of Coke coupons).

By the way, not sure if it still works, but if you put the word HOLIDAY into the MCR site where you would usually enter the Coke code, you can get a free plush polar bear. ;)
