Thanks!

Worked like a charm.

So what's the best point value (putting aside short-term one-time promotions)?

I calculate as follows (mag prices based on promos I received):
  • GreatAmerica $33/600= .055
  • SportsIllust 28@ $20/415 = .048
  • AMCmovies $25/= .025
  • PriorityClub [email protected] $14/630= .022
  • PriorityClub [email protected] $3.5/160= .022
  • Economist 25@ $25/1167= .021
  • HHonors 500@ .006 = $3/225= .013
  • 12-pack $3/250 = .012
  • HHonors 1500@ .006 = $9/800= .011

Great America tix top the value chart (even higher at $48 full price) but probably have limited appeal . Ditto for Sports Illustrated (though better deal if you got the promo offer).

Priority Club rewards worth more than HHonors.

Did I miss any regular awards?

My Coke Reward Points [Master Thread]

Except that I don't think PC points have been an option for quite some time, unfortunately

KathinJax Sep 4, 2012 5:55 am

The PC points were an option for the 1st half of the year. It is my understanding that this is the normal operation. They have a different hotel partner for the second half of the year and that PC is always the 1st half.

That's how it was last year, and again this year.

For those who value cash, a $50 Nike e-gift card is 2,000 points. You can cash it out at one of the gift card sites, I believe it's ABC but am not sure, for about $40. It comes out to a point value of 0.02, but it may be worth it to people who just want money.

I didn't know that about the PC points either- hopefully they're back again in 2013. I need another 2K of them to have them be useful, and it's not like I need any more Coca Cola family of t-shirts so I might as well wait until January to cash out.

If you only need 2K, you might want to consider just buying the points, or booking a room with points and cash, then when your plans change, you can cancel it.

I don't have anything planned with them in the short term and have more time than money at this point, so I'd rather just let the PC points sit for a while, and pick up the freebies or no cash outlay points somewhere down the road. I managed to get 2K from the quizzes thing earlier this year, and if the recent survey ever credits, that's another 1K. (And one of these days, I will get the darn credit card offer video to work too.)

Remember that your MCR points expire if you don't have activity on the account.

So what is the second half of the year hotel partner, if any?
There is none listed on the home page. And the only things in the travel rewards are an instant win at a casino, a Hilton sweeps, and a Great Wolf Lodge sweeps.

beachmouse Sep 4, 2012 2:00 pm

Full power Coca Cola is my One True Vice, so no danger of my account being inactive. I just wish I would have been thinking about the travel points game this spring instead of cashing in on a Mexican national football t-shirt.

You still can find the 1500 Hilton points for 800 MC points if you click on Rewards Catalog and then pick 501-2000 points from the drop-down menu.
