Question miles/points for ISP

Just curious if anyone (except the very expensive) IPS offer new customers miles or points for signing up or their monthly fee. I ask because, no, I don't have my own computer. I was just given an old lap top and wondered about dial ups.

Lame questions perhaps, but I really don't know.

Thanks.

IPS?

I assume you mean ISP?

What mileage programs do you belong to?

You can get 7000 Hilton Honors points for People PC, after two months, $10.95/month:

From the HHonors website:

Great Internet access for only $10.95 from PeoplePC Online - plus earn 7000 Hilton HHonors bonus points after two paid months of PeoplePC Online service.

So, you have to pay for three months ($32.85) to get 7,000 HH points. Not to bad a deal.

Thumbs up

Excellent. I've never heard of peoplepc just the continual advertisements for Netscape, Netzero and AOL. I do belong to Hiltons, AA, UA, and AS.

Thanks so much. Always trying to get points.

Verrrry much appreciated.

jfe -- Your link lead to a thread from nearly eighteen months ago. Is there any updated information as to whether their cs is still bad? I am not doubting you, but I would like current info. I am seriously considering dumping my ISP and was considering PeoplePC, partly in favor of bumping my AA bAAlAAnce. But the reality is that I need a somewhat reliable dialup service for when I am on the road -- boss doesn't like to pay $10/day for HSIA, so I can only get away with it once in awhile!

Well, the service is being used by a friend of mine, I use cable

My major issue with them is that they used to charge per tech support incident, they only provided free tech support via email.

But if you cant log in, how are you supposed to email them

He is still using them, and after the initial issues, everything seems to be working OK.

I wouldn't give my cable connection for miles though.

I have my T1 line at work, so this is just an inexpensive thing for home/travel use for when I don't have the HSIA. I have been using AT&T, but while everyone else seems to be lowering price on dial-up, they want to increase mine. Screw that....same internet. Why pay $20/mo for their service when I can get something cheaper AND some top-off miles, to boot?

Well, go for it, do they make you sign a long term contract?
