dunno if this helps you or not but you get a little power adapter, and a wire that plugs both into your firewire port and the little power thing. you can easily charge by putting it into that cord and the wallplug. they also give you a little adapter if you have one of those funky tiny tiny firewire (the laptop small ones) port adapter plug thing.
