Question about referral status
 

Hi,

I am currently on the top of the list, but when I check my status, it shows a few people who have signed up under my name, but next to all of them it says "Joined, but not completed an offer". How long does it usually take for it to display that someone successfully completed an offer?

What qualifies a unique user? If i use a different e-mail address and a different home address is that unique.. They can't go by first and last name because unless they haven't ever checked it with the white pages but there are tons of people with the same name as you. Look at Terminator 1 :)

I also have a ubox/p.o. box couldn't i also register with that and help out some people on the list and/or myself? Just wondering if that is possible...

they won't ship to a p.o. box...

I know that but the P.o. box would just be to give someone else the referel and setup an ebay with it and they get an offer refer.. Just wondering if that is possible.. P.s. i am trying to confirm my e-mail address with them but they haven't sent the e-mail to my hotmail account.. i got one for another account i setup at my aol mail but still nothing at hotmail.. are yuo not allowed to use hotmail?

You should be able to sign up with the po box if you just wanna give someone credit.

There's been complaints about verification emails not being sent to hotmail addresses. So, I'm guessing that it doesn't work with hotmail.

Uhm... what you guys don't realize is you never have to give freeipods.com your address.

Sign up, close the window when it comes to inserting your address, and then log back in.

It's still a valid account. I didn't fill out my address with them until I actually placed my order for my ipod. Plus, I never had to fill out that retarded survey.

And... theres no way in hell they can get your address from referrals, thanks to a little thing called privacy policies.

You were added to the list...once you get to the top of the list will your name become a clickable link to your referral. Some people just cant follow the rules and use the first name, so doing the list this way seems to help.

Please remove VVanderlust from the conga. He never used my referral link. When I asked him (twice) about the e-mail address he used, he responded both times with an e-mail address not listed on my referral list.

Could this be a problem with Gratis?
 

pseudoswede - I too am having that problem with flowfourteen. I'm wondering if this could perhaps be a problem with the Gratis' server or is this truly a problem with our "new" FTers. Hopefully it's not the latter. Perhaps others who have experienced similar problems could speak up?

Here's a run down of my referrals...

Total: 9
Friends I referred personally: 4 (2 completed offers)
Referrals from FT: 5 (2 completed offers, so far)

FT referrals
dsin - confirmed e-mail address; offer completed (thanks!)
onofre - did not confirm e-mail address, but I have a very strong idea that is his e-mail address; offer completed (thanks!)
VVanderlust - said he used ancestry.com; when asked, he has twice given me an e-mail address that is not listed in my referral list; offer NOT completed
dbzkenshinfreak - has no responded to PMs; I believe that the "rouge" e-mail address in my referral list is his; offer NOT completed (claimed to have used AOL)
747-400 - confirmed e-mail address; said he used GM Card, which could take up to 4 weeks to get credit! :(; I've sent him PMs asking if he's gotten credit--they are read, but not replied :(

So I have two "bad" referrals, and one is still pending (and could be pending for another two weeks--that is, if he's telling the truth). It's tough trying to find friends that want to do this.

While Gratis may be to blame for a few "misplaced" referrals, I think a majority of "bad" referrals are those who claim to have used the featured link to get in the conga line, but didn't.

I have 1 referal from a friend off FT. He is showing up on my lis at yellow joined but not completed. He has been that wasy since last tuesday. He used the Ebay offer, has anoyone out there received credit for the ebay offer recently. He was the high bidder on a item for 14 hours and went to ebay through the link from freeipod. I am confused as to what is goign on here. Anypme who can shed some light on this situation!!!! Please HELP!
