All i've concluded is i've lost fate in Dell (like I had any to begin with, after all I am a Mac person :D ) -- I was honestly astounded that they didn't follow through on thier deal....go figure....

Yeah, I pretty much hate Dell right now. I completed this promotion like a month and a half ago and I called today only to get transfered from department to department. About 3 hours and 6 departments into the call, I FINALLY found some rep that was somewhat willing to help me, but luck wasn't on my side. I was on the phone for so long that their small business department closed for the day. The rep told me that there was nothing that she could do, at about that point I pretty much had it, I was practically yelling at this poor girl from India. She was telling me that her department couldn't do anything and that I had to contact the Small Business department to discuss this issue, heh thing is, the first department that I called was the Small Business department, and after a few reps and a manager, I was told that they couldn't do anything for me and that another department was responsible for this. I threw so much evidence at this girl, I think she is feeling sympathetic for me because they are going to supposedly give me a call tomorrow to discuss this. I basically told the rep that why would I be spending so much time on the phone if I was trying to scam them over something that costs like 20-30 bucks, I think I would have hung up by now if that was the case. Anyways, to end this horror story, if a Dell rep was in front of me when I was on the phone for 3 hours, I would have beat the living **** out of him, that's how pissed I was. And another thing, when you are on the phone with them, give them the address of the promotion, the easiest way to do this is to tell them to go to google.com and search for Dell Services Game and click on the first link, that is the promo :) Lol, throw in the word FRAUD when you talk to them, that ALWAYS gets their attention ;)

They didn't advertise it. You found it not because you were targeted by them, but because someone else told you about it. It's great to get deals that we aren't eligible for, but I don't blame them for not giving it to everyone. |
I Agree!

I agree, if it comes, great, if not, life will go on.

For those of you that the world is coming to an end because you didn't get the free memory stick
Never fear ;) For $9.99 you can get a brand new 64 MB flash drive at eCost http://www.ecost.com/ecost/shop/detail.asp?DPNo=348654 :D |
Now I regret my haste - I saw some sort of game piece with a Dell laptop I ordered - but didn't realize what is was for and threw it away. It probably had the pin I would need for this...oh well not a big deal...

I just ordered one of each: $9 after rebate - 128MB Data Traveler I Full-Speed USB 2.0 Portable Flash Drive $9 after rebate - Iomega Mini 64MB USB 2.0 Flash Drive $5 after rebate - DiskGO! 32MB Combined USB 2.0 Portable Flash Drive & Ink Pen. I also ordered: $0 after rebate - Kindston 64MB MultiMediaCard (MMC) $0 after rebate - EDGE Memory™USB 2.0 8-in-1 High-Speed flash card reader $2.90 after rebate - Yamakawa 4.7GB DVD-R Media 4X, 10 Pack $5.00 after rebate - Fiberline 4-Port USB 2.0 Hub $20 - no rebate - for 10 JVC mini DV cassettes - I need them so not a bad deal Shipping: free Handling: $6 It locks up $200 of my money and will take my time to fill out rebate forms, but all in I think I got some good deals. They are mostly for friends who I know want them. Also - I used ebates to enter their site for a 2% rebate - so $4 back there as well. |
Nice, jfe.
In the time it took to place the order, the availability went from 28 to 24.

Thanks..just put my order in.
Wonder how long it takes to get rebate after sending it in? But 10 bucks for a 64mb jump is pretty good = ) |
Why is everyone getting the 64 when a 128 is available for the same money?
|
PIN NUmber?
What PIN Number did you use? It seems to require a PIN to proceed.
Thank you. |
