It kinda sounds like the Iceland mistake, ends up online and word spreads like wild fire about this deal and who knows how many signed up. Unfortunately Dell is trying to play dumb, at first, and CS rep and sales have no clue about memory stick offer. Until pressed and pressed did CS rep come up with a solution. I have to say I spent about an hour on the phone and I did consider if it worth $30 some bucks just for a memory stick. Try calling if you like, CS maybe aware of the promotion now. |

I think that I will try to call them today to see what they tell me.

I would say call Dell and throw a fit and you should be able to get a 64mb memory stick. The CS Rep even gave me the option of a 128mb but I didnt want to be greedy. However I think it read in the small print, each person was eligible to receive up to 5. So someone may want to try and get more. |

I keep calling and they want to transfer mt to the Small and Medium Business division because the game was in that section. When there they say they don't know anything about it and transfer me to Home Division. They keep also bugging me about an order or customer number. SOMEONE, ANYONE HELP PLEASE... |

Try the CS dept of Med & Large customers. They also kept asking me for a order number, which I didnt have. That is why I had to place an order online. Once that was placed I gave the CS rep the order number and she gave me credit for the order. I honestly think one of the reasons the CS rep stayed with me was right off the bat I asked for her name and employee id number. The previous 2 people I talked with werent going to do any digging or show Dell's customer relations. Just keep insisting that you completed a online adverting/marketing game and are wondering when you will receive the memory stick. |

calling right now.....will edit with update......
NEGATIVE OUTCOME: Called and after about 15 minutes on the phone and 4 transfer's they asked the magic question on if I recieved a mailing card in the post and replied no. He said they are non-transferrable so I would NOT be able to recieve the 32MB USB thingy -- I was saddened but quickly got off the phone once he started to peddle 64MB one's for only $26 and change.....I didn't give him any information so if there is a way around this I could always call again I guess? |

Darn... I kept insisting that even though I didnt receive or "could find" my code I completed the advertising/marketing game and deserve the memory stick. Try again and see if you could find a more sympathetic CS rep. |

TRIED AGAIN
This time 20 minutes no the phone and 5 transfer's and I got the same response -- it seems (and what they explained to me) is a memo got passed around Dell explaining what happened and what they are suppose to say this. They said "they've heard of this" and "looked into it" and found the sheet and it was obvious they were reading from a piece of paper -- same exact reply from two different reps....and of course they tried to sell me the 64MB one again :( |

I thought to myself while I was on the phone over an hour was this really worth it for $20-$30 item. I got lucky this time, I guess. |
