Started today!

Believe it or not my USA Today subscription started today. It might have taken longer since it was received in my P.O. box.

Hurray! I'm stillllllll waiting, however.

I had given up expecting to receive the paper but got my first issue today by mail. Thanks.

Mine started yesterday. Two weeks ago I called USA Today to complain that I never received my free subscription which is why I finally did get it after waiting for 10 weeks.

I got a bill few days ago which indicating the 65 issues of free subscription ends xx/xx/2004. It gives you option to renew it but if no action needed to cancel it. ^ ^ ^

Mine started yesterday as well. Just in time for summer break from work!

renewal phone call

I got a phone call the other day from some woman at a call center asking how I liked getting the paper and if I wanted to renew at the low, low price of $xx. I told her I'd have to consult with Mrs. Don in LA, but I will hopefully just sign the missus up for another 65 free issues.

I'm not going to pay for it, but I'm happy to read it -- even if I find the news coverage somewhat slanted (which is discouraging, seeing as it is the nation's most-read paper).

Don in LA, not so sure you'll be able to enroll Mrs. Don in LA, as the link doesn't seem to work any more... Guess the promotion is over? :(

Signed up 7/18, began receiving issues this week. Great timing, I am enjoying the nice color photos of the Olympics.

Never received a single issue, but I got a renewal notice in the mail this week.

The offer is back for new subscribers only:

Remember these go fast.

Lol, I have seen this deal a number of times... I even signed up for a trial and it lasted 2+ months...

What I hate about USA Today, is that I have to wait for the daily mail, to read the paper... Where if its the Times or FT or WSJ, I can read it in the morning... Not USA Today... :td:

Thanks JSM :) !!! Just signed up my sister and mother-in-law as new subscribers. I am still receiving the paper from the last go-round. I just renewed on E-Bay for $7 for the 65 issues. Wanted to keep getting it around the "election" time.
