i'm dumb

sorry, i'm new to e-rewards, and i'm still not clear on how they will link my e-rewards account to my AA account. the only information the accounts have in common is my name and maybe my address. without giving e-rewards my AAdvantage number, are they going to be able to credit my 2500 mile bonus properly? also, then what's to stop me from redeeming the same bonus from multiple e-rewards accounts while taking just a single AA flight?

I figured you had to enter an e-Rewards code on the AA.com screen while booking or something.

Thanks,

I imagine e-rewards will ask you to enter your AA# when redeeming the award. That way you get the miles posted by AA.

I also wonder whether we can redeem multiple rewards with a single AA flight?

Just to be sure....

print out and save the e-mail confirmations. I've gotten 2500 AA miles this way and intend to do it again....and again. But is there a limit to how many times I can do this in one calendar year? I have some E-rewards that are going to expire.

You can only redeem an AA reward once every 90 days. So you can't get multiple rewards for the same flight, and you're limited to how many rewards you can obtain in a calendar year.

Does the flight on Swiss metal in Europe on a code share with AA count as an AA flight for the purpose of redeeming e-Reward into AA account?

Whats constitues a "flight"? Is it a round trip?

I have two 1000 AA Miles rewards redeemed in my e_Rewrads account. This week, I fly YUL -->JFK--->LAX, then a few days alter, LAX ---> SFO, then ac oupleof days later SFO--->JFK---> YUL.

Will I have both of my 1000 AA Miles rewards from e-rewards posted to my AA account?
According to my calculations, I am taking 5 flights (5 differerent flight numbers). Am I correct?

How can you have 2 AA rewards redeemed for the same time period if they only allow one redemption per every 90 days? Are you sure you have two redeemed?

To answer your question though, it can be one-way or round-trip flights. But the importance is that they must be on separate record locators. It doesn't matter how many actual segments you fly, only that they're separate record locators.

Hope that answers your question.

I received a 1000 AA Miles reqrds for joining e-rewards in a promotion they had. Then I accumulated $25 in e-rewards which I redeemed for 1000 AA miles. Therefore it's a total of 2000 AA miles.

For the redemtion of the $25.00 e-rewards, this information was presented:

Use AA.com to purchase a one-way or round-trip flight on American Airlines, American Eagle, or AmericanConnection®, travel between July 1, 2004 and September 31, 2004 and earn 1,000 AAdvantage bonus miles in addition to any other bonus miles you may qualify for. Miles will be credited after travel is completed. Bonus miles do not count toward elite status qualification. Bonus will be posted within 3-4 weeks after flight activity is posted to the traveler's AAdvantage account. Bonus applies to person traveling. No registration is required. This offer is not valid in conjunction with AAdvantage Award travel.
I qualify for that one.

This shows in my e-rewards account:

06/06/2004 Redemption: 1,000 AAdvantage(R) Bonus Miles from American Airlines -25.00
At sign-up, this transaction was added to my e-rewards account:

06/06/2004 Enrollment: 1,000 AAdvantage(R) Bonus Miles from American Airlines
I remember at the time I signed up, it said that a flight was necessary...

Has anyone had a similar experience? Were both 1000 AA miles awarded on the same flights?
