A response from E-Poll

After 5+ months without miles from E-Poll, I asked them to redeposit my points and tell me what rewards they actually had available to send out. I was told:

Here's the list of rewards that we have
on hand:

Videos
CD's
Olive Garden
Jamba Juice
Blockbuster
Phone Cards

Thanks
I asked about Starbucks. Nope -- only the things above.

I also note that all of the available polls have been taken off the front page.

I also emailed the same request, and my points were redeposited later in the afternoion along with an email apology

At least you *have* an account with them - I tried to log in today to find my account no longer exists. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

And no more surveys on the front page:

The surveys that we regularly posted on the home page in the past will now be sent to you via email.

In an effort to provide more value to our members, we will offer a greater variety of surveys covering many topics that will interest you. Typically you will earn between 200 and 1,000 points depending on the type of survey and length of time necessary to complete. There are occasional opportunities to earn as much as 3,500 points per survey!

Please check your email regularly and look for email from 'E-Poll Customer Care' or email with 'E-Poll Survey' in the subject line of the email. Some surveys close quickly, so respond as soon as you can.

They changed the login from "username" to "email": did you try to see if login with your email still works?

Yes.

Probably pointless, but I went through the dance of submitting a redemption request tonight ... got a computer-generated e-mail response within a few minutes saying it had been received and "please allow 8 to 10 weeks for delivery."

Oh well.

bigeyes1 Dec 19, 2002 8:17 pm

This place is so worthless, it's pathetic. I emailed them today saying where was my award, which I redeemed for on Oct. 2nd. They emailed me back stating it would take 8-10 weeks. Well, at the time of redemption, it said it would take 6-8 weeks.

Anyway, I emailed them letting them know it has been exactly 78 days since I've redeemed my points- which makes it a tad over 11 weeks. Needless to say, I didn't hear a response after that. Probably won't either.

All I want is my $10 Home Depot Card. Is that asking too much?

king3820 Dec 19, 2002 9:14 pm

I redeemed $15 Target gift card on 9/9/02. However, I haven't received it yet. Emailed e-Poll two times, still got nothing.
I don't want to waste time on taking any survey from e-Poll now.

Doesn't that require having surveys to take? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif I think I've had one lame survey since they changed to emailed-out surveys.

bigeyes1 Dec 20, 2002 5:48 pm

Well, I was wrong. They did respond to me, but it sounds like a lame excuse. What do you all think? Here is their response on why I haven't received my award after 11 weeks:

****************************************
Dear E-Poll Member,

Thank you for taking time to contact E-Poll.

We apologize for the delay that you have experienced in receiving your
reward. We've had an increase in requests and have also been impacted by
some delays in receiving awards from our partners.

We expect to get caught up with our schedule of '8-10 weeks delivery' in the
near future. We are not able to give you an estimate at this time.

We value our member's participation and loyalty and ask your understanding
and patience as we expedite your award as soon as possible.

Best regards,

E-Poll

I got the same generic response back in June or July. I think even word for word.

This company simply does not fulfill its obligations.

Presumably the business is simply failing and so they're not purchasing the merchandise that they've promised.
