ClickRewards Redemption

Anybody have any trouble redeeming Click Miles to another person's FF account (e.g. a spouse or child's FF account)?

I've done this many, many times. Mostly I've transferred points to different family members' AA and Starwood accounts. I think I also did a Marriott transfer. Since you have to enter a name and account number, it is easy to enter the recipient's info.

Ok, this will sound crazy.........make sure your computer clock is within 3 minutes of the accurate time and yours is set on the right time zone. Don't ask. I can't explain why. That should work. If not, you can write to them and they will do it by hand for you. Hope this helps!

Thank you very much. I reset my clock with
http://tycho.usno.navy.mil/cgi-bin/timer.pl

and then went to clickreward and it worked, it let me transfer. Sooo weird. I was about 3.5 minutes off.

Thank you again.

This is news to me, as well--can someone please share some detail re: protocol by which to do this (& any potentially associated "warnings" or "be-sure-to-do-this-&-not-that"-like info) - ? Is there any official "householding" of the account that needs to be done? Does the address registered w/ ClickRewards have to be the same for both accounts?

Thanks much.

ClickMiles accrued in your account may be transferred into eligible Supplier accounts held in your name (such as your frequent flyer program account), or redeemed for Rewards (provided that your account contains the minimum number of ClickMiles required for redemption of the requested Reward). Redemption requests must be initiated while logged in to the ClickRewards Web site, using your email address and password. If you redeem ClickMiles for frequent flyer miles, you may only redeem to your own frequent flyer account. You may not redeem to accounts held by individuals other than yourself. Some merchandise Rewards may be sent as gifts to other individuals, subject to the Supplier's rules. For more information, please refer to the applicable Rewards information pages on the ClickRewards web site

That's what I thought...in addition, I was also once told (last year, by someone in ClickRewards customer service) that part of the reason redemption to FF accounts took the time it did was due to their "confirming" that the FF account did, in fact, belong to the person who redeemed the ClickMiles, -&- that the FF account # being used wasn't associated w/ another ClickRewards account.

I've since learned that (as of late, anyway) redemption to AA accounts can occur rather quickly (taking only a few days), as compared to redemption to other FF accounts--but perhaps the special relationship between Netcentives & AOLAAdvantage is in some way responsible for such, I don't know (or perhaps the protocol by which "confirmation" once took place has since changed or has otherwise been "relaxed"--?).
