I fund $40 using a debit card and received the $20 bonus immediately. Funding with a debit card is instant with $1.95 fee. You need to wait for NetSpend card to arrive and activate it before funding the card or adding the account to Paypal or online banking, otherwise the verification process fails. Paypal will keep not letting you add the account in case that it fails once. So be cautious about it.

I think once you fund your account ($40) you should receive your sign up bonus and whoever you used his/her link should receive the referral bonus.

That's right - I got the first $20 (for signing up). But did not get the $20 from the person I referred...

Just checked my netspend account. Yep, it says it right there in my inbox "Congratulations! You and ....... just got your NetSpend welcome bonus!"

Right now, my netspend has $80 in it, $40 funded from myself, $20 from referred by tys90 and $20 for alexyoung59 being referred by me. ^

I did get the sign up bonus from using your link. I definitely used your link and signed up immediately.
I did not get the referral bonus either. There should be a bug in their referral program.

Forgot who I used but I finally got my account active. Should be able to see your bonus now.

Also, got an e-mail saying I wasnt eligible but the bonus is still showing in my account...

So how does this work? You get $20 + $20?

20 when I add 40, another 20 when someone signs up under me and adds 40.

I made the mistake of linking my bank account before getting the netspend card and just led to a bunch of problems with both banks calling me non stop.
