It's been 7 hours and I have not received my confirmation e-mail. I won't get my points if I don't get that e-mail. Anybody else experiencing delays like this?

Did you check your Spam (junk) folder? Sometimes MyPoints e-mails divert to there.

Good suggestion, but I did check there first thing. Eventually, I went into my settings and found an option to resend the verification. That worked. But thanks for your help.

Went to redeem and they wanted to know my birthday (month and day, but not year). Problem is, I apparently didn't use my real birthday when I signed up, so eventually I got locked out of redeeming. I submitted an inquiry. We'll see. tls

Update: they want me to send a copy of driver's license or state ID to them. What a pain. tls

I think this is great. It helps prevent fraud. Think about all of the people who have had their accounts hacked. Another lesson: be honest when you site up.

Yeah, except I worry about identify fraud, so sometimes for these types of sites I use a different birthday. I didn't think I was defrauding them, I just figured it didn't matter 1 way or the other what my birthday was when I was clicking on Bonus Emails or using their portal. Can't seem to find which day I used by looking at my profile. tls

I don't put down my correct birthday either.

I use my husbands' month & date and my year.

I reverse it for his accounts.

I just signed up for the 750 united miles. After verifying my email I had the miles in my account within two days. So I though what the heck I would try the order $25 or more and get 1000 more united miles. Made an order with walmart through mypoints and had the 1000 miles in less than a week from when I placed the order.

What is up with the rewards you can get with MyPoints? I was going in to check to see if they had a United award available and saw that most all of the awards are sold out except perhaps the lowest denomination certificate. Very few items in black, most are grayed out. What is up with that? Is MyPoints on its last legs. Something similar happened with Plink before it went belly up.

If you don't have enough available points, the higher rewards are grayed out. If they are sold out, you won't see them at all.

For those interested, the 5000 United miles for 12000 points is back. I just redeemed and the miles posted instantly.
