The wheels on the bus fall off and off FIRST Bus has been warned by safety chiefs over the state of its fleet after wheels fell off its buses [in East Central Scotland] three times in a year. But the Ryanair/Eirjet takes the biscuit. Will anything actually come of it though, I assume that ryanair will wash their hands of it to Eirjet ? |
Typical LCC attitude trying to get away with just an AtoZ. Proper airlines like BA have Tom Tom Sat Nav units. ;)

"It is not yet clear how the plane will be removed from the Army base."
By flying away, one assumes. |

This is almost as good as the NWA DC-10 that landed at Brussels about 10-15 years ago, with the crew under the impression they were landing at FRA. Most of the passengers knew where they really were, as the mapping feature on the IFE had the location on the screen. |

It says in the report it is used by light aircraft and helicopters which would probably only require 1/3rd of the length of its former self if not less. Runways are costly things to maintain and if most of it isn't going to be used again they simply discard the rest and only maintain a certain length for cost reasons. So...this could be a rather costly excercise for the airline or be prepared for a few burst tyres on take off. Then again, an empty A320 doesn't need that much really. (Which is what it looks like from the picture) |
I wonder what happened the ready at a moments notice chaps at the RAF?
NEWS CLIP HERE Priceless that in an age of so called high security that an army base which has been bombed previously allowed an aircraft anywhere near it let alone land. |

Very generous of Ryanair to provide a bus for the pax to get them to the right place - didn't think they offered that level of service...
