I had the unfortunate need to fly with Ryanair today from Nantes to Stansted.
Just over 6 hour delay, no reason given. Various costs incurred including hotel and taxi cancellation. Do I have rights to get these costs covered? |
Will Ryanair cough up?
I was on the delayed FR2189 from ZAG yesterday [1,344km] - which Ryanair has already said was due to a technical problem with the original aircraft
timings of arrival into STN exited runway 2:57 late stopped taxi 3:03 late seat belt sign off 3:04 late I know that EU261 is defined as gate to gate - but do Ryanair abide by this? does anybody have similar experience around the 3 hour timing with Ryanair? https://www.flightera.net/en/flight_...DZA/2024-09-05 |
The important time is when doors are opened on arrival and you are allowed to disembark. If that is more than 3 hours after the scheduled arrival time then compensation is payable.
It looks like the gate arrival time was 23:07 so 3 hours 2 minutes late arriving at the gate. So yes, compensation is payable. See https://www.flightaware.com/live/fli...650Z/LDZA/EGSS |
