This discussion is focused on iDine bonuses, but the tactic can also be used for topping off FF accounts. When I needed X amount to top off an account, I asked the waiter to charge one card for, say $20, and put the rest on another card linked to another account. No questions asked. 26 orphaned miles is much better than just under 25K! |
Another way to use idine: I've got a dormant AA account, the last couple of years UA has given EQM (up to 6,000) for faxing active non-UA FF accounts. To get current activity, I just go to AA restaurant that month - instant activity. ;)

1) by posting miles through iDine 2) for the purposes of sending it to UA for EQM. Nice ploy... now if only AA did it also, for I have a UA account :D |
