CC refusing to post additional points on standby upgrade
Hi people,
I bought an got a standby upgrade (that most likely I would get anyway) at Radisson Plaza-Warwick (soon to be Blu), in Philadelphia. Since they mentioned an extra 1,000 points per night on the $15 upgrade to business level, I thought it was reasonable to spend those $15 per night to increase the chances of an already very likely upgrade and get 1,000 points. I noticed the 1,000 extra points mentioned in the upgrade offer page weren't posted and the CC clerk said points are only awarded for original rates, not upgrades. I think she is just being silly, after all it was a paid upgrade. Any experience? TIA. |
1000 seems a lot for $15. Did you get 300 (20*15) extra although that might have been included in the total?

Just got the following:
Ago 23 2013 Adjust Discretionary Point Addition - Radisson Plaza-Warwick Hotel Philadelphia 3.000 So BEWARE when a hotel offers you extra gold points on an e-standby upgrade. It's not the norm, and I probably only got mine this because they are still advertising it and I got a print screen of the offer. |
