Points Expire?
Hi all
I have a lot of CC points in my account. My last activity was Oct 2013, so approaching 2 years/24 months. From my understanding, my points will disappear is nothing happens by this October.
What can I do to reset the clock? Buy 1,000 points for $7? Anything else?
Thanks!

Raffles did a good post on this on his blog a week or so back - When your Club Carlson Points expire, and how to stop it. All you need to know on the extending options are there!

Transferring points to a relative or friend does not extend the expiry date of your own account nor the points remaining in it. However, the transferred points would immediately become subject to the receiver's own expiry date--without causing it to be extended.
A good way to extend expiry is to rent a car from Alamo or National, esp. with a bonus code which gives 1500 points per day. Not as easy as buying 1000 points for $7 or converting 2000 points to 200 FF miles, but so rewarding!
Does anybody know if booking a points res., then cancelling, qualifies as an activity to extend expiry?

I also just happened to ask this question of a Club Carlson agent this morning and she assured me it did.

Add two years to the last "Posted Date" on your Statement page to know when CC can choose to void your points. These are the T&Cs:
Expiration of Gold Points: If there is no Gold Points activity in your Club Carlson account for any 24-month period, we may, at any time and in our sole discretion and without notice or liability to you, void and cancel any or all of your Gold Points.
