Self-checkin bonus ?
I hope this is not a duplicate, but is the self-checkin bonus gone ? I can't find it anywhere on the SWISS website.
|
I'm afraid that indeed they don't have this promo right now. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif Also, I think there's currently no e-booking bonus for flights ex CH (I saw a 2000 miles promo banner appear when I priced an itinerary out of Toulouse, but not when doing so out of ZRH...).

Sorry airoli
In this case you're info is not up to date. Self service machine checkin get's 500 bonus miles, as far as I can tell from my statement that is per flight coupon. Beware that the machine does not work with all destinations. For UK and USA, for example, you will be asked to go to the counter. From my knowledge "trying" doesn't get any miles. Booking through swiss.com gets 2000 per ticket. Flying on an eticket gets 500 per segment. Enjoy the extra miles! Usually (not always) self service and eticket bonus miles post automatically at the end of the month. |
The promotions are still going on. The Qualiflyer Centers don t know about it but the system does!!
All the last flights I did with E-tkets, E-checking and of course Online tkets buying worked: 500 bonus miles for E-tket per segment. 2000 bonus miles for online booking (out side of Switzerland only!). 500 bonus miles for E-cheking per segment. I think you should claim the bonus through Qualiflyer Centers I did it and no questions asked I was credited a few days later. Good luck. Kooks. |
This is great news, I really didn't know of it because I could not find it anywhere on either the LX or Qualiflyer sites...
Thanks everybody for making me aware of it! edited to add: ch_usa, does the 2000 mile booking bonus also apply to bookings ex ZRH? I'm about to book some more flights... ------------------ airOli, the Swiss Air Line. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif [This message has been edited by airoli (edited 07-16-2002).] |

I sent them the gif: Good luck. kooks. |
Kooks, where did you get the information that only flights outside of CH get the online booking bonus?
When I booked my flight to LHR for last weekend, the banner (small, elegant, upper left part of the screen) advertised the bonus. I think I received the bonus for a flight to CPH that was booked after the launch of Swiss. I'll post here as soon as I get the LHR bonus miles. In any case, you're right. If they don't post by the end of the month, call and the miles will be posted manually. Interestingly I've had more success calling reservations (quicker posting), but only if it's Basel or Lugano (were they can access the web engine), not Zurich. |
Thanks ch_usa for your comment.

Calling the reservation sometimes work but usally they transer you the Qualiflyer. You also have the call different number if you are TC, TC Gold or Circle. Kooks. |
Does the e-tix bonus also apply to award flights? It seems so. I cannot find any restriction ...

Good news from Qualiflyer Germany: I had to reserve seats and asked the Swiss agent, Mr Mann, if passengers get this bonus for e-ticketing. He thought that the promotion was already terminated, but I told him that in they are still advertising it in the internet. "If this is the case, the promotion also applies to award tix.", he replied.

i didn't receive any bonusmiles on my last 2 fights , awardtickets e-tickets, so if somebody did get bonusmiles please post it here.
I think you only get 1.000 bonusmiles for online booking |
