airoli, you've hit the nail on the head. All the marketing spin currently communicated by Swiss TC, SNBA Privilege etc sounds very attractive. But they are leaving us absolutely in the dark about the detailed conditions of the new FFPs, and it looks like it will remain like this until Oct 15, the deadline for programme switsching.

But the idea of being able to burn my QG miles on BA's SSC sounds supersonically tempting.

The again, I thought that LX was in negotiations with BA & OW, too. Didn't they all say they wanted to introduce different FFPs because of different alliance strategies? The current state of facts is: SNBA wants to codeshare with BA (OW). LX wants to join OW. TAP already codeshares with IB (OW). What's the point? Looks like they all want to go the same road anyway.

Hmmm. Until we know which booking codes qualify for mileage credit, it would be rash to take anything for granted.

Most economy fares with BA don't qualify for AAdvantage credit for UK members, for example, and UK BAEC members get only 25%. The situation of BAEC and AA members in the rest of Europe is not much better.
