What sort of meals can I expect when flying Long-Haul Business?
The Business Class meals served are of a far higher quality than those served by most other airlines.
This thread contains photos of actual Menus and/or Wine Lists as well as photos of the food. Discussion about Business Class food is to be found at business class food discussion

What is the menu for my flight?
Look at the index below and see if there is a recent menu for your flight.

There is no menu for my flight. What do I do?
If you are unable to find a menu relevant to your flight, find a QR flight which departs at a similar time to yours, and of a similar length.

Can I rely upon these menus being available when I fly?
No for a number of reasons
1 QR change their menus frequently, so you may be in luck and find the specific options for your flight.
2 Where there is more than one flight a day to a destination the menu varies according to the time of day. Who wants breakfast on an evening flight?
3 Menus may vary from destination to destination due to flight time, number of meals served, local culture etc.

The 2018 menus can all be seen here
The 2017 menus can all be seen here
The 2016 menus can all be seen here.
Menus from earlier are mostly using another meals service system and cannot be used to understand the current menus.

How was the lamb? Lamb is my favorite red meat; but every time I've ordered it onboard QR, it's been so tough that the knife wasn't really sharp enough to get through it without a lot of effort.

The "extra dry" martini brings a smile to my face. My business partner orders his martinis "extra, extra, extra dry". What he really wants, as it turns out, is straight gin shaken with ice. I once suggested to him that he order exactly that. It had never occurred to him.

Ehhh, it wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t up to the normal high standards of QR’s catering. It was pretty tough and def on the side of well-done. Of note though was on my next flight I had the lamb machboos which was amazing and the lamb was cooked perfectly with the rice and spices. I think the trick with lamb on QR is to have it in a braised, rice based dish like the machboos or a biriyani and not a western style grilled version.

Haha I think many of us realize that ordering an extra dry martini is the socially acceptable way to order a big ole glass of straight clear liquor with a just dash of vermouth without seeming like a complete alcoholic

Thanks for the tip, -- I'll try it next time.

QR 845 (09:35 departure)

Although it was an aircraft fitted with Qsuites, there was no Qsuites snack platter as one would expect.

Has the soup of pureed white beans been spotted recently? I once was the only passenger trying it on a full A380, and it was delicious.

Is it the lighting and angle, perhaps, or is that tomato sauce actually brown?
