01April2018 — Drappier Rose replaces Landon

As far as I can tell, this is the April Rose bubbles selection on ULH sectors. Apologies if this has been noted elsewhere.
Edit: Lanson, obviously. Thank you iOS autocorrect.

Ugh. I would never have guessed that QR could send the champagne/rosé quality even lower than it was....

Oh no :(

I hope they aren't bringing back the Jacquart Brut/Drappier Rosé combo again :(

Flying AMS - JNB on Wednesday and will report back then.

Yes that was a definite low point.

Perhaps like the old pyjamas and Armani kits, they've found a few cases of the old stuff at the back of the warehouse and are just using it up...

I much preferred the Jacquart to Lanson Brut when that was around, so I wouldn't mind if they brought that back. The combo of Lanson Brut and Drappier Rosé is pretty horrendous though - I generally prefer rosé on flights (with the obvious exception of when in F!) but just couldn't bring myself to drink the Drappier, same category as BA's Castelnau which just tastes horrendous in a cabin environment to me.

Oh no :(

I wasn't a fan of the Lanson rosé, but it was at least drinkable (unlike the Drappier)... Sad to see this.

Yuck, following Air Canada’s champagne house.

Air Canada is now serving Laurent Perrier on all their international business class routes.

I always thought the Lanson Rose was good and also the original Lanson too. Certainy beats the Champagne in the BA Club lounges!

The strange one i found is in QR Business lounge they have Johnny Walker Black but in the air they dont offer it at all??

Interesting. The website still says they serve Drappier https://www.aircanada.com/ca/en/aco/...ess-class.html

Makes me yearn for the good old days (3-4 years ago) when I single-handedly managed to polish off a whole bottle of Krug and half a bottle of Chateay d’Yquem flying QR CAI DOH F - in what was just a two and a half hour flight. The value of the alcohol was more than the cost of the ticket!

I don’t know what the Drappier Rose tastes like but I found the Lanson Rose to be totally undrinkable swill  Surely it cannot be that bad ;)

I expect you slept well after that!
